Abstract: A process for line production of plant growth medium pots or bags with a closed bottom end includes the steps of: i) continuously folding the free end of a continuous length of water and air permeable sheet material into a sheet material tube around and beyond a free end of a growth medium feeding tube; ii) forming a first sealing in the sheet material tube; iii) filling the sheet material tube with a measured amount of growth medium; iv) forming a second sealing in the sheet material tube; v) separating the part of the sheet material tube positioned downstream from the second sealing to form a first plant growth medium pot or bag with a closed end, repeating as needed to form a plurality of plant growth medium pots or bags.

Abstract: Separating devices for a blister tube include a blister tube feed device comprising a first transport means and an associated first transport means bearing, a blister discharging device arranged downstream of the blister tube feed device and comprising a second transport means and an associated second transport means bearing, a first drive coupled to the first transport means, and a second drive coupled to the second transport means, and a control device coupled to the first and second drives, the control device configured to temporarily exert a tensile force on the second portion of the blister tube in the transport direction with the aid of the second transport means, the tensile force being dimensioned in such a way that the second portion of the blister tube is separated from the first portion of the blister pouch at a separation aid. Methods and packaging devices using separating devices are also provided.

Abstract: An unwinding apparatus has first and second pre-stretching rollers and a motion transmission system for transmitting a rotation motion from the first pre-stretching roller to the second pre-stretching roller. The motion transmission system has two toothed driving wheels rotated by the first pre-stretching roller, two toothed driven wheels selectively couplable to the second pre-stretching roller, and a selector device operable to couple a toothed driven wheel to the second pre-stretching roller. The selector device has a driven shaft provided with a longitudinal internal cavity having first and second lateral through openings suitable for housing respective locking elements. A selector pin provided with first and second transverse protrusions is movable inside the internal cavity between a first operative position, in which a first toothed driven wheel is coupled to the driven shaft, and a second operative position, in which a second toothed driven wheel is coupled to the driven shaft.

Abstract: System for heat shrink sealing open-topped containers wherein the system includes a housing or enclosure wherein a majority of a bulk roll of film material is accessible when the cover is open.
