Abstract: Disclosed is a bio-enzyme degradable temporary plugging material and a preparation method and application thereof in the technical field of natural gas hydrate drilling and production; the preparation method of the bio-enzyme degradable temporary plugging material includes the following steps: mixing the ceramsite with an aqueous solution of 3-aminopropyl trimethoxysilane before a stirring reaction and drying to obtain modified ceramsite; and fully dispersing the modified ceramsite, ethyl cellulose, and epoxy resin in dichloromethane to obtain an oil phase; adding the oil phase into a gelatin aqueous solution and mixing uniformly; after a stirring reaction, evaporating an organic solvent, filtering, washing, and drying, to obtain the bio-enzyme degradable temporary plugging material.

Abstract: The present invention describes a hydraulic cement composition, process and use thereof, wherein the composition comprises a hydraulic cement composition with increased resistance against carbon dioxide (CO2) for application in reservoirs such as oil and gas and carbon capture and storage (CCS) wells; with improved performance of cement paste formulations as a material for application in primary, secondary cementing, recovery and/or plugging operations, of reservoirs/wells that operate with high CO2 content; as a technological alternative to guarantee the integrity of wells in CO2-rich environments for long periods of time, without any additional intervention to the already current operational procedures for cementing wells, and with cost reduction in relation to class G cement (currently, the main raw material); and sufficient chemical resistance to carry out enhanced oil (EOR) and gas (EGR) recovery by injecting high levels of CO2, increasing reservoir pressure throughout the extraction period of hydrocarbon reservoirs.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a plant-based self-degradable gel diverting agent and a preparation method therefor. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adjusting a pH of a formaldehyde solution, adding urea in three batches, heating and stirring, adding furfural in the process of adding a second batch of urea until a plant-based urea-formaldehyde resin is obtained through the reaction, completely dissolving starch in water, uniformly stirring to obtain a gelatinized starch solution, adding the plant-based urea-formaldehyde resin, adding a curing agent, and uniformly stirring, mixing and curing to obtain a product. The resin plugging agent is a liquid homogeneous system and has a low initial viscosity; the system is particle-free, can enter tiny slits; and the gel temporary plugging agent does not need to be added with a gel breaker at a temperature of 100-180° C., the temporary plugging agent can be completely degraded.

Abstract: A eutectic metal alloy is placed through a coiled tubing into a wellbore formed in a subterranean formation. The eutectic metal alloy includes a mixture of multiple metals. The eutectic metal alloy has a melting temperature that is less than a melting temperature of each individual metal of the multiple metals making up the eutectic metal alloy. The eutectic metal alloy is heated to a temperature equal to or greater than the melting temperature of the eutectic metal alloy to liquefy the eutectic metal alloy. The liquefied eutectic metal alloy is flowed from the wellbore and into the subterranean formation, thereby exposing the liquefied eutectic metal alloy to a specified downhole temperature within the subterranean formation and causing the liquefied eutectic metal alloy to solidify to form a seal. The seal prevents fluid from flowing from the wellbore and into the subterranean formation.

Abstract: The invention includes methods for stimulating a hydrocarbon-bearing formation by perforating a wellbore and introducing an acidic composition in the wellbore. A preferred embodiment includes inserting an isolation plug in the wellbore at a predetermined location followed by inserting a perforating tool and a breakdown acid into the wellbore. The wellbore is perforated by the tool to create a perforated area. The breakdown acid is allowed to come into contact with the perforated area for a predetermined period of time sufficient to prepare the formation for stimulation. The tool is then removed from the wellbore wherein stimulation of the perforated area is thereby initiated. Also disclosed is a corrosion inhibiting composition for use with the acidic composition.

Abstract: A method for the stimulation of a hydrocarbon-bearing formation, said method comprising the steps of:
providing a wellbore in need of stimulation;
inserting a plug in the wellbore at a location slightly beyond a predetermined location;
inserting a perforating tool and a spearhead or breakdown acid into the wellbore;
positioning the tool at said predetermined location;
perforating the wellbore with the tool thereby creating a perforated area;
allowing the spearhead acid to come into contact with the perforated area for a predetermined period of time sufficient to prepare the formation for stimulation;
removing the tool form the wellbore; and
initiating the stimulation of the perforated area using a stimulation fluid.
Also disclosed is a corrosion inhibiting composition for us with the acid composition.-

Abstract: A wellbore is plugged using a bismuth alloy. In one embodiment, the bismuth alloy comprises an alloy of bismuth and tin. In another embodiment, the bismuth alloy comprises an alloy of bismuth and silver. The wellbore can be arranged so that a liquid bismuth alloy sets with an excess pressure of the plug relative to the borehole fluid pressure along a desired seal height distance.
