The wedge body has a first layer and one or more second layers interfused with one another to provide structural support and limit resistive heating of the wedge from current flow within the wedge body by windings spaced apart by the rotor wedge. 摘要: Exhaust gases (28) from an engine (16, 16′), input to turbo-compounder (20), drive a bladed turbine rotor (48) therein, which drives a generator (56, 56.1, 56.1′, 126, 126′, 126″), the output of which is used to electrically drive an induction motor (104, 104′), the rotor (106) of which is mechanically coupled to the engine (16, 16′) so as to provide for recovering power to the engine (16, 16′). The turbo-compounder (20) also incorporates a wastegate valve (36, 36′) to provide for the exhaust gases (28) to bypass the bladed turbine rotor (48). Upon startup the wastegate valve (36, 36′) is opened, and the generator may be decoupled from the engine (16, 16′). The generator (56, 56.1, 56.1′, 126, 126′, 126″) may be coupled to the engine (16, 16′) either by closure of a contactor (110, 110′), engagement of an electrically-controlled clutch (124), or by control of either a solid-state switching (125) or control system or an AC excitation signal (130), when the frequency (fGENERATOR) of the generator (56, 56.1, 56.1′, 126, 126′, 126″) meets or exceeds that (fMOTOR) of the induction motor (104, 104′). Wastegate valve (36, 36′) closure provides for the generator (56, 56.1, 56.1′, 126, 126′, 126″) to recover power from the exhaust gases (28).

摘要: A method for manufacturing a rotor assembly for an electrical machine includes printing a first part of a rotor shaft. The method also includes printing a rotor core onto the first part of the rotor shaft. In addition, the method includes printing a second part of the rotor shaft onto the rotor core; printing a first part of the rotor winding. The method also includes coupling the first part of the rotor winding to the rotor core. After coupling the first part of the rotor winding to the rotor core, the method includes printing a second part of the rotor winding onto the first part of the rotor winding to form the rotor assembly.

摘要: Inventive embodiments are directed to components, subassemblies, systems, and/or methods for electric traction drives employing a continuously variable transmission (CVT) having a variator provided with a plurality of tilting traction planets and opposing traction rings. In one embodiment, an electric traction drive is provided with an electromotive device configured to transfer power to or from a traction sun of a CVT. In other embodiments, an electric traction drive is provided with an electromotive device that couples to certain components of a CVT such as a traction ring, a carrier assembly, and a main axle. Various inventive shifting assemblies having shift cams and shift cam cages can be used to facilitate adjusting the transmission speed ratio of a CVT. Various related devices include embodiments of, for example, a power input apparatus, a speed ratio shifter, a shift cam actuator, a shift nut, and a carrier assembly configured to support the tilting traction planets.

摘要: An alternating-current dynamoelectric machine according to the present invention includes: a stator including: a stator core in which slots that extend in an axial direction are formed on an inner side; and a stator winding that is mounted to the stator core by winding conducting wires into the slots; and a rotatable rotor including: a field winding that is disposed inside the stator; a rotor core constituted by a first pole core and a second pole core that each have claw-shaped magnetic poles that are disposed so as to cover the field winding and that alternately intermesh with each other; and first and second permanent magnets that are respectively disposed on two facing side surfaces of adjacent claw-shaped magnetic poles and that have magnetic fields that are oriented so as to reduce leakage of magnetic flux between the claw-shaped magnetic poles, and a magnetic body is disposed between a pair of the first and second permanent magnets.

摘要: A rotor in an electrical machine, the rotor comprises a magnetic core having at least two poles, a plurality of winding assemblies, one for each pole, and a cylindrical tube enclosing the magnetic core and winding assemblies, the tube including a plurality of rings having different axial widths. Each of the rings is axially spaced apart from an adjacent ring. The respective axial widths of the rings become progressively smaller than the axial width of the ring axially located at or near the center of the tube as the axial distance away from the center of the tube increases. A plurality of winding braces are coupled to at least one of the winding assemblies, the winding braces having different radial heights.
