Abstract: A control device for a power supply system includes a pre-charge unit, the power supply system having a main electric storage device, a smooth capacitor, a step-up circuit, an open-close switch, a voltage source and a regulation element. The regulation element regulates a current flowing from the smooth capacitor toward the open-close switch. The voltage source is connected to a connection portion between the open-close switch and the step-up circuit, and outputs an output voltage higher than a voltage of the main electric storage device before the open-close switch is shifted from a disconnection state to a connection state. The pre-charge unit executes a pre-charge of the smooth capacitor by supplying electric power from the voltage source to the smooth capacitor before the open-close switch is shifted from the disconnection state to the connection state.

Abstract: A vehicle includes an energy storage, a motor driver, an electric motor, and circuitry. The motor driver is configured to convert direct-current power to alternating-current power and to convert alternating-current power to direct-current power. The electric motor is connected to the energy storage via the motor driver to move the vehicle. The circuitry is configured to drive the electric motor with a first current value to consume excess electric power. The first current value is different from a minimum current value to generate regeneration power arising from a braking force. The circuitry is configured to drive the electric motor with a second current value smaller than the first current value if a temperature of the electric motor is higher than a first threshold temperature or a temperature of the motor driver is higher than a second threshold temperature.

Abstract: Inverterless running control is control in which an inverter is set to a gate cut-off state, an engine is driven to mechanically rotate a motor-generator and to generate in the motor-generator, counter-electromotive torque in accordance with a difference between a counter-electromotive voltage of the motor-generator and a system voltage, and a vehicle runs with drive torque applied to an output shaft as reaction force of the counter-electromotive torque. An ECU controls drive torque to produce driving force determined by an accelerator position by raising or lowering the system voltage during inverterless running control.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling traction of a vehicle with independent drives or motors connected to the wheels or other ground engaging apparatuses. Nominal torque allocations can be determined for a set of motors, the motors connected to ground engaging elements and including a front set of motors and a rear set of motors. The nominal torque allocations can be modified based on a lateral differential correction and a fore-aft differential correction to produce modified torque commands and the modified torque commands can be applied to the set of motors.

Abstract: A vehicle includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to detect a first current value in a period in which a current path is switched to a non-conductive state by an ignition-off operation. The electronic control unit is configured to detect a second current value in a period that is after an ignition-on operation is performed and before the current path is switched from the non-conductive state to a conductive state in the case where the first current value falls out of a specified reference range. The electronic control unit is configured to diagnose that there is an abnormality of the current sensor when the second current value falls out of the reference range and to diagnose that there is no abnormality of the current sensor when the second current value falls within the reference range.

Abstract: A discharging control system of a vehicle that supplies power to a load device outside the vehicle via a power cable, includes a connection signal line, a detector, and a controller. The connection signal line is configured such that a potential thereof changes in response to a discharging connector provided on the power cable being connected to the vehicle. The detector is configured to detect the potential of the connection signal line. The controller is configured to control a physical quantity related to the power supplied from the vehicle to the load device, based on the potential detected by the detector.

Abstract: An electric driving wheel type work vehicle has a traveling motor, an inverter for supplying the motor with three-phase power converted from DC power, a pre-driver circuit for supplying a gate signal to the inverter on the basis of an input PWM signal, a controller for outputting to the pre-driver circuit the PWM signal for controlling the driving of the motor, a parking brake, and a parking brake condition detector that detects the condition of the parking brake. When it is detected that the parking brake has been operated, the pre-driver circuit cuts off the output of the gate signal or the input of the PWM signal to the pre-driver circuit.
