The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating immune diseases through the suppression of B cell activity induced by metformin. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition comprising a metformin compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient for preventing or treating immune diseases, wherein the composition is characterized by suppression or reduction of B cell activity which is a cause of disease. The present invention can be valuable in the use thereof for various autoimmune diseases as an immunosuppressant which can prevent or treat immune diseases by suppressing or reducing B cell activity and Th17 cell activity, which are causes of disease, or by promoting or increasing regulatory T cell activity.

The present invention relates to an oral device for treatment of sleep disordered breathing that includes an upper body in which at least a part of upper teeth is housed; a lower body in which at least a part of the lower teeth is housed; at least one or more elastic members that connect the upper body and the lower body to provide the elastic force in a direction in which the upper body and the lower body come closer to each other; and a support jaw that protrudes downward from the rear end of the upper body to support the rear end of the lower body. Thus, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the sleep disordered breathing such as an obstructive sleep apnea syndrome that may occur during sleep, enable a patient to more comfortably wear, and minimize the discomfort in a state of wearing.

The present invention relates to an endoscope. The present invention may include an endoscope main body; and a guide cap that is mounted to be fixed to a front end of the endoscope main body when inserting the endoscope main body into a human body and slides to protrude toward the front of the endoscope main body when withdrawing the endoscope main body inserted into the human body. An object of the present invention is to facilitate insertion of the endoscope by freely varying a length of the cap from the front end of the endoscope, and to enhance the detection rate of polyp.

The present invention relates to a biological tissue biopsy device including a body extending in a longitudinal direction, an outer needle installed to be connected to one side of the body and be extended in a longitudinal direction and including a first tube having a hollow portion formed therein and a second tube disposed in a direction parallel to the first tube to guide a hemostatic substance, an inner needle provided inside the first tube and extending in a longitudinal direction, and a sliding means provided in the body and installed to be connected to one end of the inner needle so as to enable the inner needle to move forward and backward. Here, the sliding means causes the inner needle to move a predetermined distance from the hollow portion of the first tube and be inserted into a target site.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising GRIM-19 protein as an active ingredient for preventing or treating obesity or lipid-related metabolic diseases. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating obesity or lipid-related metabolic diseases wherein the composition comprises GRIM-19 protein as an active ingredient for preventing or treating metabolic diseases caused by immune response disorders or interactions between genetic, metabolic, or environmental complex factors. The GRIM-19 protein according to the present invention exhibits excellent effectiveness not only in reducing lipocytes and total cholesterol content in the body, but also in suppressing the differentiation of cytotoxic Th17 cells that produce and secrete inflammatory cytokines. Also, GRIM-19 has been found to have excellent effectiveness in regulating a STAT3 mediated inflammatory response in an inflammatory environment related to obesity. Thus, the present invention can be used for preparing a treatment agent and a functional food that can effectively treat obesity or lipid-related metabolic diseases.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for creating a tactile sensation through non-invasive brain stimulation by using ultrasonic waves. The apparatus includes: an ultrasonic transducer module for inputting the ultrasonic waves to stimulate a specific part of the brain of a specified user non-invasively through at least one ultrasonic transducer unit; a compensating module for acquiring information on a range of tactile perception areas in the brain of the specified user and compensating properties of ultrasonic waves to be inputted to the specified user through the ultrasonic transducer unit by referring to the acquired information thereon; and an ultrasonic waves generating module for generating ultrasonic waves to be inputted to the specified user through the ultrasonic transducer unit by referring to a compensating value decided by the compensating module.

The invention relates to a method for measuring recognition warping with respect to a three-dimensional (3D) image. The method according to the invention comprises: (a) a step of selecting any one from a plurality of 3D parameters for a scale for recognizing a 3D image in a 3D manner; (b) a step of displaying a test stereoscopic image corresponding to the selected 3D parameter on a screen; (c) a step of displaying, on a screen, a plurality of sample images obtained by varying the value of the selected 3D parameter for the test stereoscopic image; (d) a step of selecting at least one of the plurality of sample images; and (e) a step of performing the steps (b) to (d) at least two times on different test stereoscopic images, and measuring a 3D recognition scale for the selected 3D parameter based on the sample image selected in the step (d). Therefore, it is possible to measure whether a viewer distortedly recognizes a 3D image or the degree to which a viewer recognizes the 3D image three-dimensionally in connection with the 3D parameter such as the size of the 3D image, the depth of the 3D image, etc. by means of the 3D recognition ability of each viewer.

Provided are a composition for stimulating differentiation of MSCs into osteoblasts, which includes cryptotanshinone, and an osteogenesis stimulator including cryptotanshinone and MSCs. When the cryptotanshinone is treated to the MSCs, the differentiation into osteoblasts is stimulated, and thus osteogenesis of a patient may be stimulated by directly transplanting the differentiation-induced MSCs to the patient. Accordingly, the composition or osteogenesis stimulator may be used to treat patients having disability requiring stimulation of osteogenesis such as osteoporosis, bone fracture, bone grafting including alveolar bone grafting for implant placement, or other bone defects.
