摘要： It is an objective of the present invention to provide a scintillation counter that can measure the intensity of only .beta. rays. Two scintillation fibers (11 and 12) which emit different wavelengths are provided in series to a probe (10). One of the scintillation fibers (12) is covered with a .beta.-ray shield. The optical signal generated at the probe (10) is transmitted through the optical fiber (20) and separated by the light separating element (31). One portion of the separated optical signal is incident on a light detector (32) and the intensity of the incident light detected. The other portion of the separated optical signal is incident on a light detector (33) and the intensity of the incident light detected.

摘要： A camera which includes a film cartridge whose spool is adapted to be set in different rotational positions with respect to a film cartridge main body between unused state and used state of the film cartridge, and a camera body having a film cartridge accommodating portion, and is arranged to show that the film cartridge is in the used state when the used film cartridge is inserted in the accommodating portion of the camera body.The film cartridge is provided with shaped portions having different shapes from each other corresponding to the two rotational positions, while the film cartridge accommodating portion of the camera body is provided with an ejecting member, a detecting member for detecting the state of use of the film cartridge through its movement controlled by the differently shaped portions of the film cartridge upon insertion of the film cartridge into the film cartridge accommodating portion, and a display member for detection to be shown at a predetermined position in responsive movement to the detecting member, upon detection that the film cartridge is in the used state by the detecting member.

摘要： A film feeding apparatus of a camera using a film having two perforations in each frame. A perforation detecting lever has claws spaced at a predetermined distance apart from each other so that the distance therebetween is equal to the distance between the two perforations which are adjacent to each other across the boundary between frames. The perforation detecting lever engages the perforations and disengages therefrom in unison with an operation for feeding one frame to be performed after the proceeding frame is exposed to light. As a result, film feeding is allowed to proceed until both claws simultaneously engage two respective perforations in the film which occurs after the film has advanced one frame.

摘要： A charge-coupled device comprises transfer gate electrodes separated from a substrate by a multilayer insulating film, and gate electrodes of MIS transistors separated from the substrate by a single layer insulating film. The multilayer insulating film comprising at least a lower silicon oxide layer of 10 nm to 200 nm thickness and an upper silicon nitride layer of 10 nm to 100 nm thickness. Since each of the gate insulating films of the MIS transistors is the same layer as the lower silicon oxide layer, there occurs no degradation in the transistor characteristics due to the surface states or the trapping states present within the silicon nitride layer.

Also, a device for controlling a lens position of a camera includes a lens setable at one of a projected state and a retracted state, change means for changing the lens from the projected state to the retracted state and vice versa, detection means for detecting that a loaded film is wound by the tail portion, discrimination means for discriminating whether the lens is set in the projected state, rewinding means at least responsive to the detection means for rewinding the wound film when the loaded film is wound by the tail portion, and control means responsive to the detection means, the discrimination means, and the rewinding means for controlling the change means so as to return the lens to the retracted state.
