摘要: The subject disclosure is directed to functionalized bile acids, preparation thereof, and usage thereof for therapeutic and material applications. In one embodiment, a method of generating functionalized bile acid materials can comprise directly activating a carboxylic acid of a bile acid compound using a coupling agent comprising an amide or ester compound, thereby generating an intermediate bile acid derivative material. The method can further comprise attaching a functional group material to the intermediate bile acid derivative material by reacting the functional group material and the intermediate bile acid derivative material, thereby generating a functionalized bile acid material.

The CO2 conversion comprises reacting CO2 with a cyclopropenimine (CPI) to activate the CO2 and transferring the activated CO2 to generate a product of the transferring. The transferring also generates a conjugate acid of the CPI. The process further comprises regenerating the CPI from the conjugate acid.

摘要: Antibacterial coatings and methods of making the antibacterial coatings are described herein. A first branched polyethylenimine (BPEI) layer is formed and a first glyoxal layer is formed on a surface of the BPEI layer. The first BPEI layer and the first glyoxal layer are cured to form a crosslinked BPEI coating. The first BPEI layer can be modified with superhydrophobic moieties, superhydrophilic moieties, or negatively charged moieties to increase the antifouling characteristics of the coating. The first BPEI layer can be modified with contact-killing bactericidal moieties to increase the bactericidal characteristics of the coating.

摘要: A method for ranking relevance of documents includes using a set of queries, searching a corpus of documents for a set of candidate documents with information relevant to the set of queries. The method further includes ranking the set of candidate documents by a deep learning processing system according to relevance to respective ones of the set of queries. The method additionally includes responsive to user input, revising the ranked set of candidate documents to produce a revised ranked set of candidate documents. The method further includes using the revised ranked set of candidate documents to retrain the deep learning processing system. The method still further includes performing a categorization of the set of candidate documents by the retrained deep learning processing system.

A subject matter expert's decision indicating accepted and rejected material candidates from the set of material candidates can be received. Based on the subject matter expert's input, a machine learning model can be trained to replicate the subject matter expert's decision.
