摘要: A ferromagnetic tunnel junction is disclosed. The ferromagnetic tunnel junction includes a pinned magnetic layer, a tunnel insulating film formed on the pinned magnetic layer, and a free magnetic multilayer body formed on the tunnel insulating film. The free magnetic multilayer body includes a first free magnetic layer, a diffusion barrier layer, and a second free magnetic layer stacked in this order on the tunnel insulating film. The first free magnetic layer and the second free magnetic layer are ferromagnetically coupled with each other. The diffusion barrier layer inhibits the additive element contained in the first free magnetic layer from diffusing into the second free magnetic layer.

摘要: A rust inhibitor which ensures the simplicity of application typical for a coating process and can demonstrate excellent characteristics similar to those obtained with a metal spraying method. The rust inhibitor is manufactured by admixing zinc and aluminum as fine powders of inorganic metals, which are manufactured with a stamping mill to have a flaky shape, to a modified silicone resin solution. A silane-type silicone resin is used for the modified silicone resin solution. For example, a mixed solution of an organosilane-type silicone resin and an oligomer-type silane coupling agent and the like is used.

摘要: The present invention combines sensor portions 22, 23 of the device for measuring either current flowing through the line from the power inlet to the power outlet or voltage, or both, and bushings 150, 160 installed at either the power inlet or the power outlet, or both, so as to reduce the size of the gas insulating apparatus. Specifically, the above-mentioned sensor portions 22, 23 are installed in the space inside the porcelain tube 15 that constitutes the bushings 150, 160. As this space, it is preferable to use the space on the outer-periphery side of the electric field relaxation member 21 provided inside the porcelain tube 15.

摘要: A method for manufacturing an ink-jet head includes the steps of: forming an insulating ceramic layer on one surface of a vibration plate; stacking a plurality of plate sets each having a plurality of metal plates which forms a channel unit, the other surface of the vibration plate being disposed on a cavity plate which is included in the plurality of metal plates and which forms a pressure chamber, the plate sets being stacked via the insulating ceramic layer; and heating the plurality of stacked plate sets so that the metal plates and the vibration plate of each of the plate sets are simultaneously bonded by diffusion bonding. As a result, a plurality of laminates can be manufactured at once by diffusion bonding the metal plates of the plurality of metal plate sets all together, without any diffusion bonding between two metal plates respectively belonging to different metal plate sets.

摘要: The data bits of a first image data unit representing a first range of 0-255 continuous color tones are mapped to a second image data unit having an expanded bit count capable of representing a second range of continuous color tones greater the first range. Of the available colors tones in the second range, 256 color tones are selected and associated with the 256 data combinations achievable with the first image data unit. A decoder is used to convert each data combination in the first image data unit into its corresponding color tone from the second range, which defines its conversion into a second image data unit. In this manner, one can expand the range of displayable colors to approximate the display of true colors associated with a higher resolution without increasing the number of bits of the first image data unit, which is input to a driver IC by an MPU.

摘要: A pointing device including a base section, an operating section shiftably supported on the base section, a magnet carried on one of the base section and the operating section, and a magneto-electro transducer carried on the other of the base section and the operating section at a location close to the magnet. The operating section includes a first part securely holding one of the magnet and the magneto-electro transducer and supported on the base section shiftably in a desired horizontal direction relative to the base section, and a second part connected to the first part and elastically biasing the first part toward a home position in a horizontal shifting range during a period when the first part is horizontally shifted along the base section. The second part of the operating section is provided integrally with a major portion substantially surrounding an entire circumference of the first part, a first connecting portion connected to the first part at one end of the major portion and a second connecting portion connected to the base section at another end of the major portion; the major portion exerting an even elastic biasing force irrespective of a shifting direction of the first part on the base section.
