Abstract: A novel display is provided. A display having a small change in chromaticity of a micro light-emitting diode in proportion to current density is provided. A display capable of reducing power consumption in the driver circuit when displaying a still image is provided. The display includes a plurality of pixels each including a display element and a microcontroller. The microcontroller includes a first transistor, a triangular wave generator circuit, a comparator, a switch, and a constant current circuit. The first transistor has a function of retaining a potential corresponding to data written to the pixel by being switched off. The triangular wave generator circuit has a function of generating a triangular wave signal. The comparator has a function of generating an output signal corresponding to the potential and the triangular wave signal. The switch has a function of controlling whether or not to make a current flowing in the constant current circuit flow to the display element in accordance with the output signal.

Abstract: A novel display panel that is highly convenient or reliable is provided. A pixel circuit includes a first switch, a node, a first capacitor, a second capacitor, and a second switch. The first switch includes a first terminal to which a first signal is supplied and a second terminal electrically connected to the node. The first capacitor includes a first terminal electrically connected to the node. The second capacitor includes a first terminal electrically connected to the node and a second terminal electrically connected to the second switch. The second switch includes a first terminal to which a second signal is supplied and a second terminal electrically connected to the second terminal of the second capacitor. In addition, the second switch has a function of changing from a non-conducting state to a conducting state when the first switch is in a non-conducting state and a function of changing from a conducting state to a non-conducting state when the first switch is in a non-conducting state. The display element performs display on the basis of a potential of the node.

Abstract: A display device capable of performing image processing is provided. A memory node is provided in each pixel included in the display device. An intended correction data is held in the memory node. The correction data is calculated by an external device and written into each pixel. The correction data is added to image data by capacitive coupling, and the resulting data is supplied to a display element. Thus, the display element can display a corrected image. The correction enables image upconversion, for example.

Abstract: To increase the detection sensitivity of a touch panel, provide a thin touch panel, provide a foldable touch panel, or provide a lightweight touch panel. A display element and a capacitor forming a touch sensor are provided between a pair of substrates. Preferably, a pair of conductive layers forming the capacitor each have an opening. The opening and the display element are provided to overlap each other. A light-blocking layer is provided between a substrate on the display surface side and the pair of conductive layers forming the capacitor.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device including a pixel containing a first memory circuit, a second memory circuit, and a liquid crystal element is provided. The first memory circuit includes a first capacitor. One electrode of the first capacitor is electrically connected to one electrode of the liquid crystal element. The second memory circuit includes a second capacitor. One electrode of the second capacitor is electrically connected to the one electrode of the liquid crystal element. The first memory circuit has a function of storing a charge corresponding to a first signal. The second memory circuit has a function of storing a charge corresponding to a second signal. A voltage is applied to the liquid crystal element by supplying a third signal to the other electrode of the first capacitor and supplying a fourth signal to the other electrode of the second capacitor, whereby an image is displayed.

Abstract: The display apparatus includes a data generation circuit, a source driver circuit, and a pixel. The source driver circuit is electrically connected to the pixel through first and second wirings. The pixel includes a display device that is a liquid crystal device, a potential of one electrode of the display device can be a potential of the first wiring, and a potential of the other electrode of the display device can be a potential of the second wiring. The image data generation circuit has a function of generating digital image data including first and second data. One of the first and second wirings is made to have a potential corresponding to first data, and the other of the first and second wirings is made to have a potential corresponding to the second data. The potential of the first wiring and the potential of the second wiring are interchanged.

Abstract: A display device capable of performing image processing is provided.
Each pixel is provided with a memory circuit, and desired correction data is held in the memory circuit. The correction data is calculated in an external device and written into each pixel. The correction data is added to image data owing to capacitive coupling, and the resulting data is supplied to a display element. Thus, a corrected image can be displayed with the display element. The correction enables image upconversion or can compensate for an image quality reduction due to characteristics variations of transistors included in pixels.-

Abstract: A display device includes a liquid crystal element, a transistor, a scan line, and a signal line. The liquid crystal element includes a pixel electrode, a liquid crystal layer, and a common electrode. The scan line and the signal line are each electrically connected to the transistor. The scan line and the signal line each include a metal layer. The transistor is electrically connected to the pixel electrode. A semiconductor layer of the transistor includes a stack of a first metal oxide layer and a second metal oxide layer. The first metal oxide layer includes a region with lower crystallinity than the second metal oxide layer. The transistor includes a first region connected to the pixel electrode. The pixel electrode, the common electrode, and the first region are each configured to transmit visible light. Visible light passes through the first region and the liquid crystal element and exits from the display device.
