摘要： A liquid crystal display including an upper panel having an upper alignment layer, a lower panel having a lower alignment layer, and a liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules interposed between the upper panel and the lower panel. Each of the liquid crystal molecules has different refractive indexes and different permittivities with respect to each axis direction. The upper alignment layer and the lower alignment layer are vertical alignment layers and have a rubbing direction, respectively. Before the application of an electric field, a first axis of each liquid crystal molecule is aligned in a vertical direction by the vertical alignment layer, and a second axis of each liquid crystal molecule is aligned in a direction parallel to the rubbing direction, and, after the application of the electric field, one having the largest permittivity of the axis directions of the liquid crystal molecule is aligned in parallel to the applied electric field.

摘要： An array substrate includes first and second gate lines, a data line, a pixel electrode, a domain electrode, first, second and third switching elements, and a voltage-changing part. The domain-dividing electrode divides the first and second pixel parts into a plurality of areas. The first, second and third switching elements are controlled by a first gate signal applied from the first gate line. The first, second and third switching elements apply a data signal received from the data line to the first and second pixel parts and the domain-dividing electrode, respectively. The voltage-changing part is controlled by a second gate signal applied from the second gate line. The voltage-changing part increases a voltage level of the domain-dividing electrode and decreases a voltage level of the second pixel part.

The elastic membrane prism array includes a prism body having a first chamber and a second chamber, a wall disposed between the first and second chamber, a prism plate connected to the wall, a piston adapted for moving back-and-forth and a transporting tube disposed between the piston and the prism body.

The three-dimensional image generator includes a memory part, a control part, and an output buffer part. The memory part has a lookup table storing pixel-shift data corresponding to a plurality of viewpoints and depths. The control part stores image data and depth data in an internal memory, and outputs shifted image data based on the pixel-shift data. The output buffer part outputs three-dimensional image data based on the shifted image data. The display panel displays the three-dimensional image data.

摘要： In a capacitor and a capacitor array configured for reducing an effect of parasitic capacitance, the capacitor array can have a matrix configuration that includes a plurality of unit capacitors. The unit capacitors include a lower electrode and an upper electrode that constitute a plate capacitor, as well as shielding structures which enclose the capacitor. The unit capacitors are connected by an upper electrode connecting line with a first direction to constitute a plurality of capacitor columns, wherein the unit capacitors are also arranged in rows, in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and wherein lower electrode lead lines are disposed between the capacitor columns, the lower electrode lead lines being connected to the respective lower electrodes of each of the unit capacitors.
