    摘要: A perpendicular magnetic recording medium is fabricated based on R.sub.21-60 (Fe.sub.1-y Co.sub.y).sub.z M.sub.0-10 wherein z is balance and at least 70 at % of R is Nd and/or Pr, the balance of R being one or more of other rare earth elements, and wherein y is less than 0.5 by atomic ratio. M is at least one of various additional metal elements. The Curie temperature Tc is between 70.degree. to 250.degree. C.; the saturation magnetization Ms is about 450 emu/cc or more; the uniaxial perpendicular magnetic anisotropy constant Ku of 2.5.times.10.sup.6 erg/cc or more is attained. Kerr rotation angle is 0.3 degree or more, which provides a magneto-optic recording medium. Since light rare earth elements having the collinear alignment of magnetic moment with Fe are used as a key element, it is possible to fabricate uniform perpendicular magnetic anisotropy thin films in a mass production scale at a low cost.

    摘要: A single-sided ablative write-once optical disk is usable without a protective cartridge. The disk includes the conventional radiation-transparent polycarbonate substrate that has one surface serving as the disk outer face and an opposite surface that supports the fluorinated hydrocarbon subbing layer and the tellurium-based active data layer. The tellurium alloy in the data layer flows to form holes when subjected to incident laser radiation through the substrate. A multilayer protective coating is formed over the tellurium-based layer and has an outer surface that serves as the other outer face for the disk. The multilayer protective coating includes a deformable layer formed directly on the tellurium-based layer and a scratch-resistant hardcoat formed on the deformable layer. The deformable layer has sufficient hardness and modulus of elasticity to permit the tellurium alloy to flow at conventional laser power levels. In one embodiment the deformable layer is a silicone elastomer. In another embodiment the deformable layer is a fluorinated hydrocarbon, and a metal layer, such as an aluminum-chromium alloy, is formed between the deformable layer and the hardcoat.

The body of the plug connector, which is made of an insulating material of an oblong shape, has a signal contact housing hole and a ground contact housing hole. These holes are in parallel and opposed to each other. A signal female contact made of a metal plate is housed in the signal contact hole and a ground female contact made of a metal plate is contained in the ground contact housing hole. The ground female contact has a ground plate of a width wider than the width of the signal female contact. The ground female contact and the signal female contact constitute substantially a microstrip line.

    摘要: In a superconducting coil refrigerating method and a superconducting apparatus, a flow of liquid helium is induced in a helium vessel only at a specified time upon change of a current of the superconducting coil, before the current change and/or after the current change. The induction of the helium flow before the current change provides a condition that the transfer of helium gas bubbles which may be generated upon subsequent current change is rapidly effected. The induction of the helium flow upon the current change or after the current change results in the rapid exhaustion of helium gas bubbles which continue to generate or have been generated. With such a construction, even if a superconducting pulse magnet is used, any influence of helium gas bubbles produced due to an AC loss upon change of a current can be eliminated, thereby providing a coil which is stable to a pulse-excited magnetization thereof.

    摘要: A transfer sheet comprising, in laminated combination, a substrate sheet and, provided thereabove, a coloring layer of desired pattern containing a coloring agent possessing heat transferability and a resist layer of a desired pattern containing a metal compound for resist printing and a binder, the metal compound having the capability of causing the coloring layer to lose its heat transferability, either of the coloring layer and the resist layer being nearer than the other to the substrate sheet. Because of the capability of the metal compound, the resist power is very great, whereby ample resist printing effect can be obtained with only an extremely thin resist layer.
