摘要: It is the object of the invention to provide a magnetic head and a magnetic storage apparatus using the magnetic head provided with a signal reproducing means which is capable of using the same signal processing circuit as used for the conventional longitudinal magnetization film type recording medium even when a perpendicular magnetization film type recording medium is used. Because the present invention renders the reproducing signal generated from a perpendicular magnetization film Gaussian shaped (Lorentzian pulse), the same signal processing circuit as used for the conventional longitudinal magnetization film type recording medium can be used. To accomplish this object, in the reproducing means which is the component of the information reproducing component of the magnetic head, the first spin valve element and the second valve element are piled up, the magnetization direction of pinned layers of both elements is prescribed so as to be antiparallel each other, and lead electrodes of both elements are connected so as to be common. When two spin valve elements are piled up to compose a reproducing means, the first spin valve element is structured so as to have an Ru film between the first ferromagnetic film and the second ferromagnetic film and so as to have a Cu film between the second ferromagnetic film and the third ferromagnetic film, and the second spin valve element is structured so as to have a Cu film between the fourth ferromagnetic film and the fifth ferromagnetic film. These two elements are piled up with interposition of a desired spacer film adjacently.

摘要: Each of a plurality of simulation programs is linked with a data conversion library and is executed as a simulation process. A data conversion process is executed in correspondence with each simulation process. In exchanging data resulted from simulation by the simulation process of one of the simulation programs with simulation processes of the other simulation programs, the data conversion process provided for a sending simulation process determines a receiving simulation process to which the data is to be sent, and sends the data to the data conversion process corresponding to the receiving simulation process. The data conversion process for the receiving simulation process performs data conversion for absorbing difference between the base of the sending simulation process and the base of the receiving simulation process, and transfers the data after the conversion to the receiving simulation process.

摘要: A plurality of higher-level units are connected to a library unit, for example, as a lower-level unit through an SCSI. Furthermore, the plurality of higher-level units are connected by means of a communication path to mutually exchange information regarding the status of use of SCSI for the access to the lower-level library unit. A monitoring control section is provided in each of the plurality of higher-level units to instruct necessary processing in response to the status of use of SCSI. Particularly, when an abnormal occupation of SCSI caused by hang-up of any other higher-level unit is detected by the monitoring control section of a higher-level unit, the higher-level unit instructs its own SCSI controller to reset the bus to achieve bus reset of the other SCSI controller, thus releasing the occupation.

摘要: A bidirectional optical transmission and receiving module of a simplified structure and an optical communication system using the same. The optical transmission and receiving module includes a light emitting device and a light receiving device disposed with in a same package having an opening covered with a cover glass sheet, and a holographic diffraction grating provided on a top or lower surface of the glass sheet. In transmitting operation, a light beam emitted from the light emitting device passes through the diffraction grating to be concentrated onto an end face of an optical fiber by a lens. In receiving operation, a received light beam emanated from the end face of the optical fiber reaches the diffraction grating via the lens to be thereby diffracted. A plus-sign primary diffracted light beam resulting from the diffraction is concentrated onto a light detecting surface of the light receiving device. Signal as transmitted through the optical fiber in the form of signal light can thus be received.

摘要: In a cubic-quilt type feather quilt in which a plurality of compartments are defined by partitioning the interior of the quilt with partition cloths and feathers are filled inside, there is provided a feather quilt which functions to cover up the body, eliminating the possibility that outside air may flow in the bed due to clearances on the body side or when peripheral portions of the quilt are turned up, and thus which offers a comfortable sleep. Among the partition cloths to define the interior of the quilt, which are arranged in the central part of the quilt except at least its peripheral portions, the lateral partition cloths (3) are so formed that both right and left side portions are curved downward and the central part is floated up. Thus, the feather quilt is formed into such a dome shape that the quilt wholly covers up the body during sleep.
