摘要: In some embodiments, a computer implemented method of processing messages may include receiving priority information from at least one sponsor, the priority information to be used in determining a priority of one or more messages received from a plurality user devices, creating a message collection using a plurality of messages received from the plurality of user devices, applying the priority information to at least one of the messages in the message collection, prioritizing the at least one message in the message collection according to the applied priority information, and supplying the message collection with the at least one message in an order of presentation based on the applied priority information of the at least one message.

摘要: A method and an apparatus are used to target interactive virtual objects to subscribers in a television delivery system. Programs are selected and virtual object locations are defined in the selected programs. The virtual objects available for targeting are categorized and the categories are correlated to subscriber information to determine the optimum targeting of the virtual objects. The virtual objects may be targeted based on individual subscriber information or on information related to groups of subscribers. When a frame of a program includes a virtual object location, a default or an alternate virtual object is displayed. The virtual object location may change over space or time. The virtual object may be interactive, and may be used to link a subscriber to a remote location, such as an Internet web site. An operations center or a cable headend may generate a group assignment plan that assigns the subscribers' television terminals to groups, based on factors such as area of dominant influence and household income. A retrieval plan is then generated that instructs the television terminals to select the desired virtual object for display. The television terminals record which virtual objects were displayed, and report this information to the cable headends and the operations center. The reported information is used to generate billing for commercial advertisers, and to analyze viewer watching habits. Interactive virtual objects are received by the television terminal with directions on actions to be taken upon selection of the interactive virtual object. Actions may result in the initiation of processes locally at the television terminal, or communication with a remote site for the initiation of processes to be performed remotely. The invention uses upstream data reception hardware, databases and processing hardware and software, and corresponding features in the televisions to accomplish these functions.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a detailed description of techniques used in methods, systems, and computer program products for simulating user web page visits to generate an advertising campaign target audience list. The claimed embodiments address the problem of efficiently and quickly processing voluminous amounts of user data to enable rapid initiation of an advertising campaign. More specifically, the claimed embodiments are directed to approaches for a receiving user web page visit records (e.g., user ID, URL, timestamp, etc.), preparing batches of the visit records, and iterating through the batches of visits to simulate a user's re-visit to the web page. The simulated user visits and associated user attributes (e.g., from on line and off line activities) can then be tested against advertising campaign specifications to generate a target audience list.

摘要: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for real-time image and signal processing in an augmented reality environment; for example, for video conferencing in a virtual environment of the participants' choice. In particular, image information of a real life object is extracted by separating the object from its actual environment in one or more images that are captured in real-time using a comprehensive characteristic-based mechanism. The extracted real life object is then integrated with a virtual environment based on image relations between each pixel of the image information of the real life object and a corresponding pixel of each image of the plurality of images of the virtual environment through a pixel-by-pixel integration approach. The image relations comprise at least a depth relation or a transparency relation.

Circuitry may be configured receive generic configuration data that references work chunks for message generation and time data indicating a message send time. The work chunks may include references to message data, but not the actual message data. Based on the time data, the work chunks may be placed in a message queue. Circuitry may also be configured to retrieve a work chunk from the message queue and to generate one or more messages based on the retrieved work chunk. The references to message data in the work chunk may be used to retrieve the message data at the time of message generation.

A representative can provide unique identifying information for a business that can be used to determine a category of similar businesses. Based on the identified category, a list of publishers can be identified to the representative as related to the business category. The representative can select one or more of the publishers to publish content about the business. Based on the representative selection, the system can request a set of content from the representative. After receiving the content from the representative, the system can translate the content to formats acceptable to each of the publishers. The content can then be provided to the publishers to publish. The published content can then be monitored for problems, and corrected if problems are discovered.
