    摘要: A coated catalyst comprising (a) an inert carrier having particles of not less than 100 .mu.m diameter and a surface area of up to 20 m.sup.2 /g and (b) a coating which contains the catalytic material and adheres firmly to the outer surface and to the edge zone, near the surface, of the carrier particles, can be prepared by applying the catalytic material as a 10-70% strength suspension in water to the agitated carrier particles, which are at below 70.degree. C., if the suspension is sprayed, at a constant rate of from 0.01 to 2.0 kg of active material/hour/liter of carrier onto the carrier particles, while at the same time uniformly passing from 0.1 to 12 m.sup.3 (S.T.P.)/hour/liter of carrier of an inert gas at from 20.degree. to 300.degree. C. over the carrier particles, under conditions such that the water only evaporates incompletely but the water content of the resulting coating is less than the maximum degree of saturation of the catalytic material.

    摘要: Desulfurization, denitrogenation, deoxygenation and CCR reduction of highly aromatic petroleum and coal derived liquids are conducted with hydrogen and with a refractory base catalyst incorporating at least one Group VIA metal and at least one Group VIII metal.     摘要: An improved method for preparing a hydrocarbon hydrotreating catalyst containing a major amount of alumina and a minor amount of at least one Group VIB or Group VIII metal comprising:(1) contacting an aqueous mixture of hydrous alumina with at least one phosphorus-containing compound in an amount sufficient to increase the hydrocarbon hydrotreating activity of the final catalyst and forming a phosphorus-containing hydrous alumina;(2) calcining the phosphorus-containing hydrous alumina and forming a calcined alumina;(3) contacting the calcined alumina with at least one metal-containing compound and forming a metal-containing material, the metal being selected from the group consisting of Group VIB metal, Group VIII metal and mixtures thereof; and(4) calcining the metal-containing material and forming a catalyst having increased hydrocarbon hydrotreating activity.Improved hydrocarbon hydrotreating processes and catalysts are also disclosed.

    摘要: Process for the catalytic hydrogenolysis of maleic anhydride to give 1,4-butanediol and tetrahydrofuran in a single-stage operation by means of hydrogen under heat and pressure, in the presence of a suspension of a reduced solid catalyst, which contains as catalytically active elements Ni in association with Mo and/or W and optionally with Zr and/or Nb, having the following essential characteristics: (I) double oxidizing treatment of the solid catalyst in two stages before its reduction, and (II) conducting the hydrogenolysis of maleic anhydride at a temperature of from 170.degree. to 215.degree. C. under a hydrogen pressure below about 200 bars, in a reaction medium which contains gamma-butyrolactone, for a time such that the amount of gamma-butyrolactone in the final reaction medium is substantially equal to that present in the initial reaction medium.
