In a particular embodiment, a voltage regulator includes an error amplifier, a voltage buffer responsive to the error amplifier, and a first transistor responsive to the voltage buffer and coupled to a voltage supply source. A second transistor is coupled to the voltage supply source and further coupled to an output node. A third transistor is coupled to the first transistor and has a gate coupled to a capacitor. The capacitor is coupled to a node between the error amplifier and the voltage buffer.

    摘要: An electronic load for testing stability of a power voltage of a power source under test (PSUT) includes a voltage supply device, a field effect transistor (FET), an amplification circuit, and a current sampling resistor. The amplification circuit includes a first input, a second input, and an output. The voltage supply device is connected to the first input. The second input is connected to a source electrode of the FET. The output is connected to a gate electrode of the FET. A drain electrode of the FET is connected to the PSUT. One end of the current sampling resistor is grounded, and the other end of the current sampling resistor is connected to the source electrode of the FET and the second input. The voltage supply device outputs a control voltage. The amplification circuit amplifies the control voltage and drives the FET using the amplified control voltage.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a device for monitoring the condition of a branch circuit. A device contains a switch that is normally open to prevent the occurrence of electric shock. An optical prong detector is provided to determine weather both the hot and neutral prongs of a plug have been inserted into the receptacle. The receptacle provides conductance upon determination of insertion of a plug into the receptacle. Additional features include GFI detection, current detection heat detection warning lights and an audible alarm. The receptacle includes communication abilities with remote devices to transmit data indicative of the state of the device.

The transistor circuit includes a transistor, a voltage detecting unit, a current detecting unit, a temperature detecting unit, and a protecting unit. The voltage detecting unit detects a voltage drop of the transistor and generates an over-voltage protection signal. The current detecting signal detects a current flowing through the transistor and generates an over-current protection signal. The temperature detecting unit detects a temperature of the transistor circuit and generates an over-temperature protection signal. The protecting unit is coupled to the control terminal to control a state of the transistor according to the over-voltage protection signal, the over-current protection signal, and the over-temperature protection signal to reduce the voltage difference between the control terminal and the second terminal, such that the voltage drop of the transistor is decreased or decreased to zero.

    摘要: An electrical circuit for protecting an electrical load from overload current is provided. The system includes a voltage transformer configured to receive AC mains voltage from an electric mains supply and further configured to apply reduced voltage to the electrical load. A control switch comprising metal contacts is connected to the voltage transformer. The control switch is configured to facilitate application of reduced value of AC mains voltage to the electrical load. A reduced value of current flowing through the electrical load is measured by a current transformer connected in series with the electrical load. The reduced value of current is then used for estimating a current consumption value in event of AC mains voltage being directly applied to the electrical load. A control signal is then used for disconnecting the electrical circuit if the estimated current consumption value is greater than threshold overload current value.
