An electroluminescent device for keypads capable of preventing electro-static discharge is provided, which includes a transparent insulating substrate; a top electrode layer entirely formed on one surface of the transparent insulating layer; an emission layer formed on a portion of the top electrode layer; an insulating layer formed on the emission layer; a bottom electrode layer formed on the insulating layer; a passivation layer formed on the top electrode layer to surround the emission layer, the insulating layer and the bottom electrode layer; and an electro-static discharge prevention layer formed on the other surface of the transparent substrate.

According to embodiments of the invention, a height of a capacitor lower electrode is increased. Portions of the lower electrode and an interlayer insulating layer are etched within the interlayer insulating layer that is formed with the lower electrode thereon, so that a trench having a double damascene structure is formed. A dielectric layer and an upper electrode are formed within the trench. Therefore, shorts between metal interconnects caused by misalignments during formation of the upper electrode are prevented and consistent capacitance values may be secured.

A backlight assembly includes at least one lamp generating light, a container having a receiving space, and a lamp fixing member disposed in the receiving space of the container. The lamp fixing member includes base arms disposed substantially parallel with each other, at least one lamp clip that grips the at least one lamp and is connected between the base arms, and at least one buffer formed in the respective base arms to allow variation in a length of the base arms due to changes in a size of the receiving space. An image display device includes a display panel for displaying images, and the backlight assembly to provide the light to the display panel. The image display device also includes a top chassis having another buffer allowing variation in a length of chassis sections.

A method of simulating the performance of an integrated circuit design is provided. In the case of extracting n model parameter sets in order to statistically simulate the performance of the integrated circuit, it is possible to significantly reduce the time spent on extracting the model parameters by extracting only one model parameter set using the I-V characteristic curve created by directly measuring the I-V characteristic of the device as a target function and extracting the remaining (n−1) model parameter sets using the main characteristic data (ET data) which can be easily measured such as the threshold voltage or the saturation current of the device as the target function. Since the main characteristic data (ET data) of the device is used as the target function, it is possible to easily extract the model parameter set when the characteristics of the device are changed. Therefore, the designer can simply estimate the influence (sensitivity) that the changes in the characteristics of the device have on the performance of the integrated circuit design.

An apparatus and method to suppress a low speed ripple current to a motor include a power supply unit to supply single-phase alternating current (AC) power. A rectifying and smoothing unit rectifies and smoothes the single-phase AC power and outputs a direct current (DC) voltage indicative thereof. An inverter receives and converts the DC voltage to a motor driving current to drive the motor. A controller compares an envelope detected from a ripple current in the motor driving current and a DC component extracted from the ripple current and generates a compared result therefrom, and controls an output voltage from the inverter according to the compared result.

A method for mounting a load sensing proportion valve assembly of an automobile includes the steps of securing the crank member of the assembly to a side of a rotating shaft, which rotatably attaches the crank member to the proportioning valve of the assembly, using a first connecting member having a first rotating direction. Thereafter, a rod, which is connected to the rear axle housing of the automobile, is connected to the crank member through a slit formed in the crank member using a second connecting member having a second rotating direction. Finally, the first connecting member is removed so as to allow the crank member to be rotated.
