The present invention relates to polymer latex composition for fibre binding comprising: a) 50 to 98 wt.-% based on the total weight of latex particles in the composition of first latex particles having a volume average particle size of 80 to 1000 nm, wherein the first latex particles optionally bear functional groups and if functional groups are present they are selected from functional groups consisting of acid functional groups and salts, amides or anhydrides thereof, silane functional groups, and combinations thereof; b) 2 to 50 wt.-% based on the total weight of latex particles in the composition of second latex particles having a volume average particle size of 5 to 70 nm bearing epoxy functional groups, to the use of that composition for fibre binding, to a fibre structure comprising the dried residue of that composition and to a method for increasing the strength of a fibre structure.

Provided are an epoxy composition, an adhesive film, a dicing die bonding film and a semiconductor device using the same. Specifically, the epoxy composition and a use thereof are provided, wherein the epoxy composition has a gel content of 5˜20%, measured under certain conditions. The epoxy composition according to the present invention, as an adhesive agent, shows excellent elastic properties, when prepared to have a low glass transition temperature, exhibiting good adhesion at high temperature and having minimal occurrence of burrs during processing. According to the present invention, it is therefore possible to prevent defects owing to die cut shift, during a wire bonding or molding process at high temperature, and obtain a highly reliable semiconductor device owing to the excellent adhesiveness and workability of the adhesive agent.

The methods for producing a UV-curable acrylic copolymer is disclosed. The method includes polymerizing a mixture of monomers comprising (i) 40-95 wt % of at a (meth)acrylate monomer, (ii) 5-60 wt % of a copolymerizable monomer, wherein said monomer is selected from those whose homopolymers have a glass transition temperature of higher than −30° C., and (iii) optionally 0.5-20 wt % of a copolymerizable functional monomer having a functional group selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group to form an acrylic copolymer. The method includes reacting the acrylic copolymer with at least one type of monomer comprising a UV-curable functional group in the presence of a catalyst to form the UV-curable acrylic copolymer. Also encompassed are UV-curable acrylic copolymers thus formed, adhesive composition comprising the UV-curable acrylic copolymers, methods for manufacturing adhesive sheets comprising the UV-curable acrylic copolymers, and use of the UV-curable acrylic copolymers.

Adhesives compositions and methods of preparing adhesive compositions are described. The methods generally comprise a) providing a syrup composition comprising i) a free-radically polymerizable solvent monomer; and ii) a solute (meth)acrylic copolymer; and b) radiation curing the syrup composition in the absence of an ionic photoacid generator. In one embodiment, the solute (meth)acrylic copolymer as provided or during curing comprises repeat units derived from at least one alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer, at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising an acid-functional group; and at least one (meth)acryloyl monomer comprising an epoxy-functional group; and the acid-functional groups crosslink with the epoxy-functional groups. In another embodiment, the solute (meth)acrylic copolymer comprising repeat units derived from at least one alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising an acid-functional group; and an epoxy resin, having on average greater than one polymerizable epoxy group per molecule, crosslinks the acid-functional groups.

The frame sealant includes an epoxy-acrylic resin, an acrylic resin, a thermal curing agent, a coupling agent, a photoinitiator, and an organic filler, and further an one-dimensional nano-material as an inorganic filler which is capable of cross-linking with the epoxy-acrylic resin. The one-dimensional nano-material after cross-linking with the epoxy-acrylic resin will form an interlaced network, which can prevent granular materials from precipitating and improve the display quality.

The present invention provides a thermally curable pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, which, based on the total weight of the composition, comprises the following components: a) 35-99% by weight of a reactive polymethacrylate component having a glass transition temperature Tg of −35° C. to 32° C., and having a reactive functional group which can react with benzoxazine to form an interpenetrating polymer network; and b) 1-65% by weight of a benzoxazine component of the following formula: wherein: X is selected from the group consisting of a covalent bond, C1-C6 alkylene, C3-C10 cycloalkylene group, C═O, S, S═O or O═S═O R1 and R2 are the same or different and independently of each other selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, or C5-C14 aryl, and R4 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen or C1-C6 alkyl.
