An apparatus and method of combining and mixing in precise proportions two or more chemicals or compounds is disclosed. The basic design of the apparatus comprises an operator control system, a drive motive assembly, one or more mixing chamber assemblies, and a cooling system. Suitable proportions of each chemical or compound may be controlled with relatively high precision. In one embodiment, the mixing chamber assemblies each comprise at least one static mixer having a plurality of perforations encased in an outer air-injection jacket. In this embodiment, the apparatus is used to make a cool, stabilized foam product, (e.g., whipping cream) infused with an alcoholic beverage without the need for adding supplemental foam stabilizing agents (e.g., polypropylene glycol alginate or pectin) to the product.

A novel chalcogenide material has a bulk composition which has a first material selected from the group of Si and Sn, a second material selected from the group of Sb, and a third material selected from the group of Te. The first material, second material, and third material are in a ratio of (Six or Sny) Sb2 Te5, where x is 1≦x≦5, and y is 0.5≦y≦2.0. The material can be used in a switch device, which includes a dielectric/heater layer having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, and the material having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface; with the first surface of the material immediately adjacent to and in contact with the first surface of the dielectric/heater layer. A first electrical contact is on the second surface of the dielectric/heater layer. A second electrical contact is on the second surface of the phase changing chalcogenide material. A third electrical contact is on the second surface of the phase changing chalcogenide material, spaced apart from the second electrical contact. The switching device can be programmed such that the channel length separation between the second electrical contact and the third electrical contact on the phase changing chalcogenide material is changed to represent the desired state to be stored in the device. Finally, an array of the above described non-volatile memory cells can be formed in a dielectric/heater layer and the chalcogenide material.

A patent document content construction method is described. The method includes the following steps. A domain-specific thesaurus including a plurality of domain-specific terms is constructed. A semantic/syntactic annotation is performed for a claim of a patent to identify domain-specific terms, stop words, general terms, and punctuation. Defined regular expression sets are used to classify the words in a claim to build a structural relation of the claim. The defined expression sets include Common, Claim, Component, Reference, Attribute, Functionality, Contain, and Spatial. The structural relation includes the domain-specific terms, the general terms, and the triple relations of the domain-specific terms in the claim.

A small generator with collective multiple magnetic poles includes a magnet, multiple magnetic poles arranged in an annular shape and facing to the magnet, an annular iron core having its outer circumference combined with the multiple magnetic poles spaced apart and equidistantly. The iron core forms magnetic circuits for the magnetic poles so as to let magnetic lines of force to pass through. A sheet-shaped coil is combined on each magnetic pole so that when the magnet is rotated around the iron core with the magnetic poles, the sheet-shaped coil may generate alternate electric current. The sheet-shaped coils are quickly made by mechanical process, with magnetic wires requited for the coils reduced a lot.

Described is a light-directing feature formed in the inter-level dielectric (ILD) layer in combination with an anti-reflective (AR) layer to effectively and simultaneously increase quantum efficiency and cross-talk immunity thereby improving photonic performances of photo-sensitive integrated circuits. A plurality of photosensor cells is formed on a semiconductor substrate. An AR layer is subsequently formed on the plurality of photosensor cells, the AR layer being substantially non-reflective of incident light. An ILD layer is then formed over the AR layer, the ILD layer comprising a plurality of light-directing features formed in openings in the ILD layer over the AR layer above and about certain of the plurality of photosensor cells.

Based on the direct formation of molecularly imprinted polymer on gold electrode, the present invention provides a peptide sensor for the detection of low-molecular-weight peptides. A new cross-linking monomer, (N-Acr-L-Cys-NHBn)2 is employed to attach the surface of the chip and to copolymerize with other monomers. Interestingly, N-benzylacrylamide participating both polymerization and recognition is carried out in an aqueous environment. Using quartz crystal microbalance detection, short peptides can be monitored by their interaction with plastic antibodies specific for the target peptides. The selectivity of molecularly imprinted polymer and the sensitivity of such artificial biosensors have collaborated to differentiate traces of oxytocin and vasopressin to the ng/ml scale.

The slat hanging unit includes a head portion inserted into the receiving space through the first hole, a clip connected to the head portion and extending outwardly of the main body, and a neck portion between the head portion and the clip. A window screen includes a screen sheet with two opposite outer side surfaces. The screen sheet includes a pair of screen laminates, and an intermediate bonding layer. Each screen laminate has a first surface facing the other screen laminate, and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The bonding layer is attached to the first surfaces of the screen laminates for bonding together the screen laminates. The bonding layer is formed from a resin composition that contains a dark-colored oil-based ink. The second surfaces of the screen laminates constitute the opposite outer side surfaces of the screen sheet.

This invention relates to a method for forming a gate dielectric layer, and, more particularly, to a method for treating a base oxide layer by using a remote plasma nitridation procedure and a thermal annealing treatment in turn to form the gate dielectric layer. The first step of the present invention is to form a base oxide layer on a substrate of a wafer. The base oxide layer can be formed using any kind of method. Then nitrogen ions are introduced into the base oxide layer using the remote plasma nitridation procedure to form a remote plasma nitrided oxide layer. Finally, the wafer is placed in a reaction chamber which comprises oxygen (O2) or nitric monoxide (NO) to treat the remote plasma nitrided oxide layer using the thermal annealing procedure and the gate dielectric layer of the present invention is formed.
