摘要: A septumless implantable access device suitable for delivering a liquid medication to a site remote from the site of port implantation is disclosed, which contains a filter assembly for removing particulate material from fluid injected into the port. The filter assembly of the invention contains a first reservoir chamber having cutouts, recesses, and/or sharp corners in which particulate material may be trapped, and additionally having a first wall forming a filter barrier capable of 360.degree. of fluid flow therethrough. The implantable access device may also include an infusion pump apparatus coupled to the access device.

摘要: A system for performing a medical procedure comprises a first assembly and a second assembly. The first assembly comprises an articulating probe assembly and a first housing. The articulating probe assembly comprises an outer probe and an inner probe. The outer probe comprises: multiple articulating outer links and a first connector. The inner probe comprises multiple articulating inner links and a second connector. The first housing comprises: a proximal portion; a distal portion; and an opening positioned in the first housing distal portion. The articulating probe is constructed and arranged to pass through the first housing opening. The second assembly comprises: a first carriage constructed and arranged to operably engage the first connector of the outer probe; a second carriage constructed and arranged to operably engage the second connector of the inner probe; a dual linear drive assembly configured to independently translate the first carriage and the second carriage; and a second housing comprising a proximal portion and a distal portion. The first assembly is constructed and arranged to operably attach to the second assembly. Methods of performing a medical procedure are also described.

A distal end of the support member has an exit configured to guide the articulated probe from the support member into a region of interest.

摘要: A tubular tissue graft device is provided comprising a tubular member and a restrictive fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a circumference of the tubular tissue. The matrix may be electrospun onto the tubular tissue. In one embodiment, the tubular tissue is from a vein, such as a saphenous vein, useful as an arterial graft, for example and without limitation, in a coronary artery bypass procedure. 5 Also provided is method of preparing a tubular graft comprising depositing a fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a perimeter of a tubular tissue to produce a tubular tissue graft device. A cardiac bypass method comprising bypassing a coronary artery with a tubular tissue graft device comprising a vein and a restrictive fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a circumference of the vein also is provided.

Subsequently, at least a portion of the vessel is removed, and subsequently implanted to treat a patient, typically in a bypass procedure in which the vessel portion fluidly connects a source of oxygenated blood to an occluded artery.
