摘要: Endoluminal and other as implantable prostheses are fabricated in electrospinning apparatus including a target and an applicator. A solution comprising a polymer and a solvent is directed to the target with a first electrical potential between the target and the applicator to produce a first set of fibers. The same or another solution is continued to be delivered through the applicator onto the target while applying a second electrical potential to produce a second set of fibers having a second solvent fraction, and the same or different solution may be delivered while applying a third potential difference to produce a laminated structure having at least three layers. By properly controlling the electrical potentials and solvent fractions, an adhesive layer can be formed to serve a glue or adhesive between the inner and outer layers, and a stent or other scaffold may be positioned between the inner and outer layers to form a covered stent or graft.

摘要: An ultrafine fiber printing system contains a moving deck having a nozzle seat that disposed on the moving deck. A pipe is installed in the nozzle seat and a nozzle is disposed at the bottom end of the pipe. The upper portion and the lower portion of the pipe are combined with a heat dissipating unit and heater respectively. The top end of the pipe is connected to a feed tube having an outer end being connected with a thread squeezer. A printing platform is disposed around the moving deck. The nozzle is connected to a static electricity supply and the fiber carrier is grounded. An electric field is formed between the nozzle and the fiber carrier. The droplets exported from the nozzle are stretched into ultrafine fibers to form a patterned fabric or product.

摘要: Disclosed are a composite nanofiber membrane for the adsorption of lithium, a method for preparing the same, and a lithium recovery apparatus and method using the same. The composite nanofiber membrane for the adsorption of lithium is immobilized with manganese oxide selectively adsorptive of lithium. The composite nanofiber membrane for lithium adsorption exhibits high selectivity for lithium ions and allows for the rapid and easy diffusion of lithium ions through interstitial spaces of the adsorbent. Particularly, the lithium recovery apparatus using the composite nanofiber membrane for lithium adsorption is able to effectively adsorb lithium ions dissolved in seawater in a selective manner within a short period of time, thus reducing the time taken for the adsorption process.

摘要: A supported nanofiber medium useful for segregating chemical species is provided by selecting a polymer, selecting a substrate; and electrospinning the polymer to form a nanofiber medium on the supporting substrate. When the substrate is a planar surface, the nanofiber medium will be a mat suitable for conducting chromatographic separation. When the substrate is a filament, the nanofiber medium is an annular mat suitable for solid phase microextraction. The nanofiber media formed may be selectively cross-linked and at least partially carbonized to carbon nanofibers. The nanofiber medium is supported on the substrate without the use of binder material.
