Abstract: The present disclosure relates to transmitting and receiving improved monitoring reports. A base station can configure a user equipment (UE) to monitor a channel/signal on multiple beams. The base station can transmit the multiple beams to the UE, which are at different time periods in a monitoring window. The UE can then monitor the multiple beams within the monitoring window and determine a monitoring report. The UE can then transmit the monitoring report to the base station, wherein the monitoring report indicates a subset of multiple beams as being more or less suitable for communication. The base station can also indicate that it will stop transmitting one or more beams and then stop transmitting the beams. If the UE does not send the report, the base station can continue to transmit the multiple beams.

The example method generally includes generating a primary synchronization signal (PSS) utilizing a first code sequence and a cover code applied to the first code sequence over a first number of symbols within one or more subframes, generating a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) based on a second code sequence over a second number of symbols within one or more subframes, and transmitting the PSS and the SSS in the first and second subframes to a first type of a user equipment (UE) that communicates on one or more narrowband regions of wider system bandwidth.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may transmit a power headroom report in response to changing beamforming parameters. The UE may autonomously change beamforming parameters from a preconfigured set of beams or receive a command to change beamforming parameters for transmissions on a new beam. The UE may determine a power headroom applicable to a transmission from the UE on the new beam. The UE may transmit, in response to the command, a power headroom report based on the power headroom using resources configured for the power headroom report. For example, the power headroom report may be multiplexed with an uplink transmission from the UE using the new beam. In an aspect, the UE may select a scheduled transmission during a time period after the command is implemented as the uplink transmission. For example, the power headroom report may be transmitted as a physical layer transmission or as a MAC-CE transmission.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink grant that does not include a downlink assignment index (DAI); determine a pre-defined bundle window, associated with ACK/NACK multiplexing or bundling, based at least in part on receiving the downlink grant that does not include the DAI; and transmit ACK/NACK feedback to acknowledge or negatively acknowledge one or more downlink communications received in the pre-defined bundle window. In some aspects, a UE may receive a downlink grant that does not include a DAI; determine a bundle window, associated with ACK/NACK multiplexing or bundling, based at least in part on receiving the downlink grant that does not include the DAI, wherein the bundle window is not pre-defined; and transmit ACK/NACK feedback to acknowledge or negatively acknowledge one or more downlink communications received in the bundle window. Abstract: The disclosure relates to drone user equipment (UE) indications that may be conveyed to a wireless network. In particular, a UE that has flight capabilities (i.e., capabilities to operate as an unmanned aircraft system) and optional further capabilities to report a current height level may indicate such capabilities to the wireless network. As such, the wireless network may differentiate the drone UE from other UEs that only operate on the ground. Furthermore, the optional current height level may enable the wireless network to differentiate among drone UEs operating at different heights and/or from other UEs that are operating on the ground. The wireless network may further use the information indicating the flight capabilities either alone or in combination with the optional height information to configure power control parameters, manage interference, provide mobility management functions, generate neighbor lists, control beamforming, or implement a radio resource configuration or management procedure.
