A method of for performing an initial access in a base station which supports the multi-band of a terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: searching one or more downlink component carriers of the base station; receiving system information including a broadcast channel of a first downlink component carrier from among the searched one or more downlink component carriers and information for indicating one or more uplink component carriers connected to the first downlink component carrier; transmitting a first message to the base station through a first uplink component carrier from among one or more uplink component carriers indicated by the received system information; and receiving a second message including uplink authorization information from the base station through the first downlink component carrier.

The present invention relates to a method for transmitting a pilot signal in a downlink MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) system that supports a first UE (User Equipment) supporting N number of transmission antennae out of a total of M transmission antennae and supports a second UE supporting said M (M>N) number of transmission antennae. The data transmission apparatus comprises: a data processor, which performs coding and modulation on an information bit to generate a data symbol; an SC-FDMA processor, which changes a weight matrix per change-cycle, precodes the data symbol for each weight matrix being changed and performs SC-FDMA modulation for generating an SC-FDMA symbol; and an RF unit, which transmits the SC-FDMA symbol. With the application of a PVS method to the SC-FDMA system, not only can transmission diversity be provided, but PAPR can also be reduced and single-carrier properties can be maintained.
