    摘要: A shaft sealing mechanism of an annular shape having at least one divided portion, which is installed in an annular space between a rotor and a stator, includes a group of thin plates. Outer peripheral ends of the thin plates are joined, and inner peripheral free ends come in contact with the rotor in a sliding manner so that a surface of the rotor and the thin plates form an acute angle to partition the annular space into a high-pressure region and a low-pressure region without being joined. At least a low-pressure gap near the divided portion is set to be larger than a low-pressure gap in a circumferential direction other than near the divided portion.

    摘要: An apparatus which produces a ringing signal for a telephone system, effectively suppressing impulse noises. A ringing voltage generator produces a ringing voltage. A ringing signal sending unit sends a ringing signal to the called telephone terminal over the subscriber line by outputting the ringing voltage intermittently. This ringing signal consists of ringing periods and silent periods which will appear alternately with a prescribed duty cycle. One of those silent periods is used by a data transfer unit used to transport data to the called terminal. A feed impedance setting unit provides a feed voltage with higher source impedance. A feed impedance selection unit selects a low-impedance feed voltage in the one of the silent periods during which a data transfer is performed, and selects a high-impedance feed voltage in the other silent periods during which no data transfer is scheduled.

The pattern-forming material is a multilayered body comprising a substrate and a photoresist layer thereon which is overlaid with a three-layered composite film for near-field light generation consisting of an intermediate layer of a non-linear optical material such as antimony sandwiched between two dielectric layers. When irradiated with active rays focused on the optically nonlinear layer, a fine optical window or light scattering point is formed therein where a near-field light is generated to pattern-wise expose the photoresist layer.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a flexible inlet tube for a high and intermediate pressure steam turbine. A reheat steam inlet tube is constructed integrally with a casing. The inlet tube has a double tube portion to form an annular groove. The lower end of the double tube portion has an expanded diameter, and a vertical sliding motion can be accomplished between the expanded diameter portion and a flange fixed to a thermal shield, so that thermal elongation is absorbed. Low-temperature steam flows into the annular groove from an in-casing space through a hole, circulates in the annular groove, and flows out to a steam passage in an intermediate pressure turbine section, by which the interior of the annular groove is cooled, so that a temperature rise of the casing can be prevented.

    摘要: A semiconductor substrate has a sensor disposed in a surface layer on an entrance surface thereof for receiving incident light, and an intermediate-refractive-index film is disposed on the entire entrance surface of the semiconductor substrate either directly or with an insulating film interposed therebetween. The intermediate-refractive-index film has a refractive index lower than the semiconductor substrate and a low hydrogen permeability. A thin film is disposed on an entrance surface of the intermediate-refractive-index film and having refractive index lower than the intermediate-refractive-index film, the thin film being permeable to hydrogen. The intermediate-refractive-index film serves as a reflection-resistant film. Reflections of incident light applied through the thin film and the reflection-resistant film to the sensor of the semiconductor substrate are suppressed. The intermediate-refractive-index film has a hole defined therein for passage of hydrogen therethrough upon hydrogen alloying. After the thin film is formed on the surface of the intermediate-refractive-index film, hydrogen passes through the hole in the intermediate-refractive-index film to reach the surface of the semiconductor substrate near the sensor upon hydrogen alloying.
