    Abstract: A method for controlling a door, comprising the steps of storing energy during a manual opening of a door, sensing an object within a doorway, selectively applying a force derived from the stored energy, to close the door, based on the sensing of an object in the doorway. The closure is preferably controlled by an electronic control. A door closing device comprising an energy storage device for storing energy during door opening and releasing the stored energy to subsequently close the door, a damping system for damping a closure of the door, a sensor for detecting an object within a doorway, having an output, a controllable device for selectively restraining the energy storage device from closing the door, and a control system for controlling the controllable device based on the output.

    Abstract: An automated door closure system regulate the release and closure of a door in a door assembly that includes a primary door, a secondary door, and a door frame. The system includes a door closer, a control unit, and an automatic input sensor. The door closer, which is connected between the secondary door and the door frame and includes a cylinder and an operating rod, biases the secondary door toward a closed position. The control unit includes a motive device and a rod catch element. The rod catch element, which may be moved by the motor, is positioned in proximity to the operating rod to adjustably prevent the secondary door from being closed. The automatic input sensor detects a door assembly use condition. The control unit controls the motive device based on the detected condition to move the rod catch element, allowing the door closer to close the secondary door.

    Abstract: Provided herein is a slide window for a vehicle with which a slide panel can be smoothly moved to easily open and close an opening part without directly manipulating a slide panel 18. A movable body 36 that is moved by being driven by a drive unit 40 is provided, and the slide panel 18 is connected to the movable body 36 via a connection member 48. The slide panel 18 moves with the movement of the movable body 36 driven by the drive unit 40, whereby the opening part 14 is automatically opened and closed. The movable body 36 is guided by the guide sleeve 38, and moves along the slide panel 18. The guide sleeve 38 is positioned and mounted to the resin frame body 16 via guide sleeve brackets 42 provided on a resin frame body 16.
