Abstract: A cinching system includes: a profile configured to determine a first time series of target values for cinching a closure closed; an adjustment module configured to determine an adjustment value based on at least one operating parameter; an adjusting module configured to generate a second time series of target values for cinching of the closure by adjusting at least one of the target values of the first time series based on the adjustment value; and a power control module configured to: apply power to a cinching motor when the closure is partially closed, where the cinching motor is configured to cinch and fully close the closure; and based on a comparison of a measured value of the cinching motor and one of the target values of the second time series, selectively one of: decrease power applied to the cinching motor; and disconnect the cinching motor from power.

An example system includes a motorized door, and a sensor configured to detect obstacles within a travel path of the motorized door. The system also includes one or more processors configured to receive a door control signal, and in response to the door control signal, determine whether an obstacle had been detected within the travel path of the motorized door. In response to determining that an obstacle has been detected, the one or more processors can block activation of the motorized door.

Abstract: A latch assembly connected to the drive unit of a bi-fold door for retaining the bi-fold door secure to a building has elongated straps attached to rotatable latch drums mounted on the outer ends of the drive shaft of the drive unit. Lift drums powered by a motor driven gearbox raise and lower the bi-fold door. Latch assemblies having springs attached to the straps maintain tension on the straps during the opening and closing of the bi-fold door.

Abstract: Provided is a small plug door device having a slide base is installed slidably in a vehicle width direction relative to a fixed base. A door drive mechanism for moving one door in a vehicle front-rear direction via a connecting portion has a drive portion including an electric motor, a drive wheel member, a follower wheel member, and an endless member, and is installed on the slide base. A guide portion guides a shaft portion provided on the connecting portion so as to move the shaft portion in a vehicle width direction. In a double-speed rail in which a pinion is disposed between two racks, one rack is connected to the slide base, the other rack is connected to the door side, and the pinion is connected to the connecting portion.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a refrigerator includes a housing, a door rotatably installed at the housing using a hinge, and a door driving system to open or close the housing using the door. The door driving system includes a motor to output power to open or close the door, a sun gear linked with the motor, a planetary gear linked with the sun gear, and provided to be rotated about an axis thereof and to revolve, an internal gear linked with the planetary gear and configured to transfer power generated by the motor to the hinge, and a carrier configured to be rotated linked with the planetary gear and selectively support the planetary gear to be rotated about the axis thereof. When the planetary gear is rotated about the axis thereof, the power of the motor is transferred to the internal gear and thus the door is automatically opened or closed.

Abstract: An automated door closure system regulate the release and closure of a door in a door assembly that includes a primary door, a secondary door, and a door frame. The system includes a door closer, a control unit, and an automatic input sensor. The door closer, which is connected between the secondary door and the door frame and includes a cylinder and an operating rod, biases the secondary door toward a closed position. The control unit includes a motive device and a rod catch element. The rod catch element, which may be moved by the motor, is positioned in proximity to the operating rod to adjustably prevent the secondary door from being closed. The automatic input sensor detects a door assembly use condition. The control unit controls the motive device based on the detected condition to move the rod catch element, allowing the door closer to close the secondary door.

Abstract: A bi-fold door is opened with a lift assembly having a plurality of straps attached to power driven lift drums. A latch assembly retains the closed bi-fold door secure to side columns of a building. The latch assembly has a latch strap attached to a latch drum that accommodates the latch strap to hold the closed bi-fold door in contact with the side columns of the building. A floor anchor assembly anchors the bottom of the closed bi-fold door to the floor below the closed bi-fold door to stabilize and inhibit bending and deformation of the bi-fold door frame.
