摘要: A fire-resistant polymeric membrane includes a polymer layer such as PVC, TPO, or EPDM affixed to a carbon fiber composite. The carbon fiber composite includes one or two layers of non-woven carbon fibers and at least one of an inert fiber mat or a metal foil layer, wherein the metal foil layer has a melting temperature of at least about 660° C. The present invention also provides an underlayment, wherein the underlayment is formed from one or more fibrous carbon layers affixed to at least one of an inert fiber mat or a metal foil having a melting temperature greater than 660° C.

摘要: Embodiments may include a coated granule for roofing systems. The coated granule may include an aluminum silicate granule and a coating disposed on the aluminum silicate granule. The coating may include a copolymer and a siloxane-based or a silane-based compound. The copolymer may be a cationic fluorinated (meth)acrylic copolymer. The aluminum silicate granule may have a particle size in a range from 0.2 mm to 2.4 mm. The aluminum silicate granule may have a 65% or greater reflectivity. The coated granule may repel oil and maintain its reflectivity better than with other techniques.

摘要: The present invention describes a one-part moisture-curing liquid-applied waterproofing membrane including a polyurethane polymer and both an aldimine and an oxazolidine as blocked amine hardeners in a specific ratio range. The membrane has a low odor, a long shelf life stability, a low viscosity at low solvent content, a sufficiently long open time to allow hand application and cures fast to a solid elastic material. The liquid-applied waterproofing membrane can be suitable for roofing applications, possessing high strength, high elongation and good durability under outdoor weathering conditions in a broad temperature range.

The additive comprises at least at least one ester. The BURA composition is thermally stable at processing temperatures of at least 450° F.

摘要: A wild-fire protected shed structure for installation on a parcel of real property, or within a garage, and having a fire-protected internal storage space for storing and protecting diverse items of personal property during raging wild-fires. The wild-fire protected shed structure has a Class-A fire-protected wood-frame structure constructed from Class-A fire-protected lumber, and having an interior side and an exterior side. Radiant energy insulation is installed on the exterior side of said wood-frame structure, for insulation to radiant energy sources located outside of the wild-fire protective shed structure. Thermal energy insulation is applied to the interior side of the wood frame structure, to provide thermal energy insulation to the interior of the wild-fire protected shed structure to maintain the interior temperature relatively cool, despite extreme temperatures outside while wildfires are circling the wild-fire protected shed structure. Fiber cement panels are installed over the radiant energy insulation, to provide fire protection to the radiant energy insulation. A fire-door is installed in a front door way portion of the Class-A fire-protected wood-frame, providing essential fire-protection from the door way portion of the wildfire-protected shed. Also, a Class-A fire-protected steel roofing system is mounted on the roof portion of the wild-fire protected shed structure.

摘要: The present invention provides an inverted roofing system and method that is more thermally efficient, inexpensive and quicker to install, better able to withstand environmental conditions, and produces the appearance and some functional benefits of a traditional natural green roof ballast top-layer. It does not require a sloped roof gradient, and is capable of a user controlled mass per square foot roof load. The inverted roofing system and method provides a ballast top-layer that is lightweight, and maintains properties that will prevent wind uplift.
