A method of reducing peak-to-average power in a hybrid signal is provided. The method determines peaks in power by defining a sample point by way of a digital vector and an analog vector. The digital and analog vectors are added together to generate a hybrid vector which is used to compare the sample point to the maximum desired peak threshold. An error vector is used to correct the sample point to a desired power level. Once the sample point has been corrected it can be added back to the analog signal and transmitted.

When the clock drift is low, the location of the symbol window can be decided based on a previous time slice. According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a modulation equipment (10), including: a symbol integration means (101), configured to combine a first bit stream with a second bit stream to form a symbol to be modulated; a symbol mapping means (102), configured to map the symbol to be modulated into a QAM modulation symbol according to a set of predetermined mapping rules; wherein, in the set of predetermined mapping rules, multiple constellations corresponding to any first bit stream are located in at least two quadrants in the constellation diagram, while multiple constellations corresponding to any second bit stream are located in at least two quadrants in the constellation diagram. The integrated transmission of a first service data and a second service data (e.g., unicast service data and MBMS data) may be supported and has a better performance than the prior art especially in single cell scenario by using the method, equipment and device in the present invention.

The embodiments of the digital up-converter, in combination with the N-channel modulator, are capable of efficiently filling the spectrum of one or more RF signals with one or more types of information signals. Before transmitting signaling messages to a radio sector, the mobile device determines a time delay value if the radio sector is in the radio sector database. The mobile wireless device discards the signaling message when an elapsed time since a most recently transmitted signaling message to the radio sector does not exceed the determined time delay value. In an embodiment, each radio sector in the radio sector database includes a failure count value, and the determined time delay value depends on the failure count value.

The disclosure discloses a measurement method. The method includes: a conjugate multiplication operation is performed on reference signals corresponding to a subcarrier within adjacent time slots to remove phase interference of the reference signals; the reference signals from which the phase interference has been removed are descrambled; and all the descrambled reference signals are accumulated. The disclosure further provides a measurement apparatus. With the technical solution of the disclosure, the operation complexity of measurement can be reduced.
