摘要: Provided is a device and a method of damping front and backward movements of a tower of a wind turbine, wherein the wind turbine includes the tower and a rotor, the rotor being mounted at the top of the tower to rotate about a rotational axis in which the front and backward movements of the tower occur, and the rotor has a plurality of blades, wherein each blade has at least one corresponding active add-on member which is actuated by a corresponding actuator to alter aerodynamic properties of the blade. Each add-on member is actuated by the corresponding actuator to alter the aerodynamic properties of the blade in a manner that the rotor is configured to damp the front and backward movements of the tower of the wind turbine.

摘要: A method of and fixture for molding a product with an embedded ring. A system for molding a ring into a product including a rotational molding mold with an opening formed in the rotational molding mold sized to fit a ring. A fixture is removably couplable to the ring, wherein the ring and the fixture when coupled are removably couplable in the opening. The fixture is removed from the ring after the ring is molded into a product. A method of manufacturing a product with an embedded ring includes: coupling a ring to a fixture; clamping the fixture and the ring in an opening in a mold top; clamping the mold top to a mold bottom; rotomolding a product; unclamping the fixture from the mold top; uncoupling the fixture from the ring; unclamping the mold top and the mold bottom; and removing the product from the mold.

摘要: Provided is a bracket for securing a number of cooling rings arranged on a bearing ring, which bracket includes an upper surface, a lower surface shaped to lie on the cooling rings, and a through-opening extending between the upper surface and the lower surface to accommodate a fastener for mounting the bracket to the bearing ring; wherein the material properties of the bracket are chosen to permit movement of the cooling rings relative to the bracket when the bracket is mounted to the bearing ring; and/or wherein the bracket is made of a resilient elastic material. Further provided is a cooling arrangement for a bearing, including a number of cooling rings arranged in parallel on a mounting surface of a bearing ring of the bearing; and a number of such brackets to secure the cooling rings to the bearing body.

A carbon pultruded blade is also provided.

摘要: Described is a method for determining a dwell volume of a liquid chromatography system and a liquid chromatography system that can determined the system dwell volume. The method includes mixing a flow of a first solvent with a flow of a second solvent to form a solvent mixture. The flows of the first and second solvents are decreased and increased, respectively, to generate a gradient composition. A system pressure of the liquid chromatography system is measured to determine a pressure trace defined as the measured system pressure as a function of time. The dwell volume of the system is determined from a time delay determined between the gradient composition at the mixing location and the pressure trace. The method can be performed with a liquid chromatography system having a chromatographic column or a flow restrictor used in place of the chromatographic column.

The group study system allows for students to form study groups with other students in the same class or related classes by utilizing various technologies that make such a system possible. The system provides for an anonymous creation of the study sessions and maintains the anonymity until all students joining the study session participate in the study session. These sessions can be in person and virtual. Hybrid and virtual sessions are becoming more and more important with the increasing presence of online education. This system harnesses technology in an innovative way to do something that was not possible years ago by enabling students to gather in a learning environment with other students who previously did not know each other. Additionally, the system operates to allow crowd sourcing of data for the input of exam data, including date and time of the exam in order to automatically extend exam reminders.

摘要: A system and method are provided for inferring location attributes from data entries. The method comprises for data entries in a structured data set format, a computer system selecting a sample of rows. The computer system then identifies columns containing geospatial and temporal information based on the column headings. The computer system next identifies location information within the structured data set. The computer system determines implied location information based on the identified location information. The computer system derives location values based on the identified and implied location information using consolidation rules, resulting in a final set of location attributes for the data entries. The computer system then associates the final set of location attributes with the data entries.

An operator communication interface establishes a wireless point-to-point communication to a wind turbine communication interface. The wind turbine communication interface is an integrated part of the wind turbine. A control signal is transmitted from the operator communication interface via the point-to-point communication to the turbine communication interface. The control signal is transferred from the turbine communication interface to an internal control system of the wind turbine. The internal control system of the wind turbine changes the operational status of the wind turbine based on the control signal.
