Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electrical assembly comprising a first element having a first connection portion and a second element having a second connection portion, and an electrical connection device having an electrical member comprising a connection part with a first portion and a second portion. The electrical member of the electrical connection device is at least partly inserted in a first opening section of the first connection portion and a second opening section of the second connection portion along an inserting axis. The first portion of the connection part is in electrical connection with the first connection portion of the first element and the second portion of the connection part is in electrical connection with the second connection portion of the second element.
Abstract:
A reagent dosing system for dosing a reagent into the exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine includes a reagent tank for storing a supply of reagent; an injector module including an atomising dispenser and a positive-displacement metering pump which draws reagent from the reagent tank and delivers it to the dispenser; a supply line coupling the reagent tank to the injector module; a dosing control unit operable to control the injector module to inject reagent into the exhaust gas stream; and an additional priming pump arranged, in use, to urge reagent along the supply line toward the injector module under selected conditions.
Abstract:
A proximity sensor system configured to interface a gate-supply with a sensor includes a sensor to detect a user, and a gate-supply to provide power to an apparatus that includes circuitry to boost power from the gate-supply for the sensor. The circuitry includes a NPN bipolar input transistor and a PNP bipolar output transistor. The base of the input transistor is connected to the input of the apparatus. The collector of the output transistor and the emitter of the input transistor are connected together to the output of the apparatus. The emitter of the output transistor is connected to a supply voltage and the collector of the input transistor is connected to the base of the output transistor.
Abstract:
An electrical connector assembly includes a plug connector. The plug connector comprises a connector housing having a flexible leg. The plug connector further comprises a secondary locking device having a jamming portion and a flexible arm, which is in blocking contact with the flexible leg when the plug connector is not mated with a corresponding counter connector. The plug connector thereby allows for direct mating with a corresponding counter connector, whereby the secondary locking device provides connector position assurance(CPA) functionality.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a connector arrangement including a plug connector and a socket connector that may be suited for use with an electronically adjustable damper of an automobile. The socket connector is rotatably arranged in a socket connector housing and has an outer casing. The outer casing includes a guideway formed therein that is configured to receive a corresponding guide element of the plug connector. The guideway has a funnel shaped portion configured to receive the guide element. The guide element rotates the socket connector into a correctly aligned orientation with regard to the plug connector upon contacting the funnel shaped portion when the plug connector is inserted into the socket connector.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for determining the distance from a distance-measuring-device to an object by sending a light-pulse from a light-emitting component toward the object by passing a current pulse through the component. A value based on the current or voltage across the component is used to determine the reference-time T0 when the value exceeds a first threshold-value, and determines first-time T1 when the value is reduced to a second threshold-value THL2. T1 is used to define two time-windows when intensity of reflected light is integrated to provide two values (Q1/Q3 and Q2/Q4) to determine a time of flight for the light-pulse based on the two values (Q1/Q3 and Q2/Q4), the difference between T0 and T1 (T1-T0), and the speed of light, c.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to squib connectors, for instance for airbag ignition systems, which allow the electrical or electronic monitoring of the correct coupling of a squib plug connector with its corresponding counterpart. According to the invention, a squib connector has at least two terminals having corresponding signal lines. In order to allow an electrical monitoring of the correct coupling of the plug connector, the terminals are in electrical contact with each other in the uncoupled or incorrectly coupled condition of the plug connector. This electrical contact between the terminals is configured to be separated upon correct coupling to a corresponding counter-connector either automatically or by an actuating action. The disconnecting of the terminals may then be monitored by any suitable monitoring means.
Abstract:
A diagnostic circuit arranged to measure an electrical characteristic in a drive circuit of a coil of a fluid injector and compare the measured electrical characteristic with another electrical characteristic to determine whether a PN junction is working to discharge electrical energy in the coil of the fluid injector, in particular a selective catalytic reduction dosing injector.
Abstract:
A fuel injector includes a nozzle having at least one nozzle outlet. A valve needle is moveable with respect to a valve needle seating through a range of movement between a closed position and an open position to control fuel delivery through the at least one nozzle outlet. The movement of the nozzle needle is controlled by fuel pressure within a control chamber. The injector has first and second nozzle control valves for controlling fuel flow into and out of the control chamber to pressurise and depressurise the control chamber, respectively. The first nozzle control valve can operate selectively to place the control chamber in fluid communication with a fuel drain or to place the control chamber in fluid communication with a high pressure supply line. The second nozzle control valve can operate selectively to place the control chamber in fluid communication with a fuel drain.
