Abstract:
An aspect of the present invention relates to a UE-initiated de-registration method by an AMF in a wireless communication system, and comprises the steps of: receiving, from UE, a de-registration request message that requests de-registration, wherein the de-registration request message includes de-registration type information and first access type information indicating a target access to which the de-registration is to be applied; requesting, when the UE has an established protocol data unit (PDU) session through the target access, an SMF to release the established PDU session; and transmitting a de-registration accept message to the UE depending on the de-registration type.
Abstract:
An operation method of a network node for supporting network discovery and selection of a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a network discovery and selection (NDS) rule request message requesting an NDS rule from the UE, transmitting a policy request message requesting NDS rule generation support information for generating the NDS rule to at least another network node, receiving a policy response message including the NDS rule generation support information from the at least another network node, generating an NDS rule on the basis of the NDS rule request message and the policy response message, and transmitting an NDS rule response message including the generated NDS rule to the UE.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for handling a packet data unit (PDU) session establishment procedure. The method may performed by an access and mobility management function (AMF) node and comprise: determining whether to reject a PDU session establishment request. The determination may be performed if the PDU session establishment request includes an existing PDU session identifier. Based on the existing PDU session identifier, an identifier of a session management function (SMF) node may be acquired. The PDU session establishment request may be accepted, if it is determined based the identifier of the SMF node that the SMF node and the AMF node belong to a same PLMN. The PDU session establishment request may be further accepted, if it is determined based the identifier of the SMF node that the SMF node belongs to a HPLMN. The PDU session establishment request may be rejected, if it is determined based the identifier of the SMF node that the SMF node and the AMF node do not belong to the same PLMN or the SMF node does not belong to the HPLMN.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for determining a PDU session identity in a wireless communication system. A method for determining, by a session management function (SMF) node, a packet data network (PDU) session identity during handover of user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, may include receiving a request message for requesting the establishment of a PDU session for the UE from an access and mobility management function (AMF) node, wherein a handover for the UE from a first wireless communication system to a second wireless communication system has been determined, determining a PDU session identity for the PDU session established for the UE when the request message is received, and sending a response message including the determined PDU session identity to the AMF node in response to the request message.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for a proxy-call session control function (P-CSCF) to obtain an identifier of a visited public land mobile network (V-PLMN) in order to register a user equipment (UE) roaming in the V-PLMN into an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a response message from an Interrogating-CSCF (I-CSCF) in response to the transmission of a REGISTER message for registering a user equipment into an IMS network; determining whether the received response message is a 401 unauthorized message; when the received response message is a 401 unauthorized message, transmitting the response message to the user equipment and generating an interface for transmitting and receiving data to and from an entity of an EPC network; and receiving an identifier of the V-PLMN from the entity of the EPC network.
Abstract:
The present description discloses a method for performing network selection and traffic routing by a mobility management entity (MME). The method comprises the steps of: if a request for a public data network (PDN) connection is received from a user equipment (UE), an MME deciding whether or not the PDN connection is to be offloaded to a wireless local area network (WLAN) on the basis of an indication for WLAN offloadability obtained from a home subscriber server (HSS); the MME transmitting to the UE a message comprising information about a network-based IP flow mobility (NBIFOM) function and the decision result with respect to the PDN connection; and the MME transmitting the decision result with respect to the PDN connection to a PDN gateway (P-GW) and/or a policy and charging rules function (PCRF), wherein the decision result with respect to the PDN connection and the information about the NBIFOM function can be used for triggering any one of the UE, P-GW and PCRF such that the NBIFOM function is suspended or resumed.
Abstract:
There is provided a method for a network fault recovery. The method may be performed by a policy and charging rule function (PCRF) node and comprise: transmitting, to a traffic detection function (TDF), a first request for monitoring a session initiation protocol (SIP) based signal to be routed over a first internet protocol (IP) version based network, if a fault of the first IP version-based network is detected; receiving, from the TDF, a report indicating that the SIP based signal is detected; transmitting a first indication for initiating a IP connectivity access network (IP-CAN) session termination procedure to a packet data network gateway (P-GW). Here, the first indication may include a cause value indicating a reactivation is requested such that the P-GW enables a user equipment (UE) to perform a detach procedure and then a reattach procedure.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method by which a terminal that joined a first public land mobile network (PLMN) performs a connection. The method may comprise a step for transmitting a first request message to a network node through a base station. The base station may be a base station of a second PLMN that broadcasts system information including information about the first PLMN. The method may comprise a step for receiving, from the network node, a first acceptance message for the first request message. The first acceptance message may include information indicating that there is a service failure in the first PLMN. The method may comprise a step for displaying, on a screen of the terminal, information indicating that the terminal is connected to the second PLMN on the basis of the information.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for performing, by relay UE, communication related to PS Data Off. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a direct communication request message from remote UE, wherein the direct communication request message includes PS Data Off status information of the remote UE; determining whether or not to establish a protocol data unit (PDU) session for the remote UE, on the basis of the PS Data Off status information of the remote UE; and transmitting a PDU session establishment request message to a network node, on the basis of the determination to the establishing of the PDU session for the remote UE.
Abstract:
Provided in one embodiment of the present specification is a method for user equipment (UE) for an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) voice session. The method can comprise the steps of: establishing an EMS voice session by using a non 3GPP interworking function (N3IWF) or an enhanced packet data gateway (ePDG) through non-3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access; determining that voice is not supported on a current NG-RAN on the basis of that the UE must moves the IMS voice session to a 3GPP access; and handing over a protocol data unit (PDU) session for the IMS voice session of the non-3GPP access to an evolved packet core (EPC) of the 3GPP access on the basis of the determination.
