摘要: An electric machine includes a stator having an outer circumference. Spaced apart first walls are arranged about the outer circumference and provide generally parallel first channels. A second wall adjoins the first wall and is arranged about the outer circumference providing a second channel in fluid communication with the first channels, thus, providing a tortuous fluid flow path about the circumference. The first and second channels have an inner surface. A structure is provided within at least one of the first and second channels. The structure has an outer surface spaced radially outward from the inner surface and at least partially defines the tortuous flow path between the outer and inner surfaces. The stator includes an end turn. An end cap extends axially and radially outward from the stator and provides an enclosure about the end turn in fluid communication with the exit associated with the flow path.

摘要: A motor cooling device having good cooling performance, which is adapted to promote heat transfer between a coil end and a coil end cover even if the flowing amount of oil is small. A heat of a stator is withdrawn by the oil flowing around the coil end. For this purpose, the motor cooling device comprises a flow path formed between an outer face of the coil end and an inner face of the coil end cover, and a flow rate adjusting unit for changing a cross-sectional area of the flow path by moving the coil end cover toward the coil end or away from the coil end. The flow rate adjusting unit widens the cross-sectional area of the flow path in case a feeding amount of the oil to the flow path is relatively large, and narrows the cross-sectional area of the flow path in case a feeding amount of the oil to the flow path is relatively small.

摘要: A liquid-cooled stator and rotor assembly for use as an electric motor or generator includes a housing having a first end bell, a second end bell, and at least one fluid orifice in the first end bell. A stator is fixed within a stator cavity of the housing. The stator includes a stator core and a plurality of windings for conducting a flow of electricity. A rotor for magnetically interacting with the stator is also included, the rotor being rotatably mounted between the first end bell and the second end bell within a rotor cavity. A first sealing ring and a second sealing ring are provided to form a fluid seal against the respective end bells and against a portion of the stator such that a cooling fluid entering the stator cavity via the orifice does not enter the rotor cavity.

摘要: An electrical machine comprises a casing (1), an oil inlet hole (7), an oil passage (2), oil outlet holes (3), a stator retainer (8), a casing end cover (10), a stator iron core (5), winding coils (6), slot insulations (12) and oil-guides (4). The oil passage (2) is located inside the casing (1) and links with the oil inlet hole (7) of the casing (1) and the oil outlet holes (3) of the stator retainer (8). The oil outlet holes (3) are located above the winding coils (6) and the oil-guides (4) are located between the oil outlet holes (3) and the winding coils (6). Oil entering from the oil inlet hole (7) pours onto the winding coils (6) by the guidance of the oil-guides (4) after flowing through the oil passage (2) and flowing out of the oil outlet holes (3). The winding coils of the electrical machine can be effectively cooled and the electrical machine can achieve higher thermal durability. An oil cooling method for the electrical machine is also provided.

摘要: A cooling system for a sealed permanent magnet electric machine includes one or more flow driving devices disposed at a rotor of the electric machine configured to urge an airflow across a plurality of permanent magnets of the rotor and across a plurality of stator end turns of the electric machine to remove thermal energy therefrom. A plurality of cooling channels are located in the electric machine in thermal communication with the stator configured to transfer thermal energy from the stator to a flow of fluid coolant through the plurality of cooling channels. A heat exchanger is in thermal communication with the plurality of cooling channels to transfer thermal energy from the airflow to the fluid coolant.

摘要: An electric machine (100) comprises a stator (112) and a rotor (114a, b) mounted for rotation about a rotor axis (120) with respect to the stator. Permanent magnets (124a, b) are carried by the rotor. The rotor has an output (190). The stator has coils (122) wound on stator bars (116) for interaction with the magnets. The rotor has two stages (114a,b) arranged one at either end of the stator bars, with two air gaps (126a,b) between the ends of the bars and the rotor stages. An annular housing (102, 142a, b, 146) retains and mounts the stator. A bearing (164a, b) is between the rotor and stator, the rotor being hollow around said rotor axis. There are two significant magnetic flux paths (30,30′) of the motor. The first passes between adjacent coils in a circuit on a substantially circumferential plane with respect to the axis (120). A second path 30′ is in an axial plane, passing around the bearing. The stator coils are spaced around the rotor axis and approach the rotor axis no closer than a first, stator radius (R1) of the stator. The bearing comprises rolling elements rolling on a surface of the rotor that is no closer to the rotor axis than a second, rotor radius (r), which rotor radius is between 60% and 90% of the stator radius.
