Abstract:
On an information recording medium, an entire stream including a plurality of portion streams, each of which is provided with content information including still picture information, is multiplexed-and-recorded by a unit of packet. The information recording medium is provided with a file for storing object data, which is provided with a plurality of packets, each of which stores therein a piece of the content information. The information recording medium is further provided with a file for storing information which defines a reproduction sequence of the object data. The object data includes packets, each packet storing therein a piece of respective one of still picture information sets, the still picture information set including still picture information and control information thereof. A display control to the still picture information included in one still picture information set is described by the control information included in another still picture information set.
Abstract:
The invention provides a digital picture frame that allows a user to edit a displayed picture using simple and intuitive controls. Modifications to an image may be stored by the digital picture frame so that the digital picture frame may later display the edited or modified version of the picture rather than the original version. A user may edit a picture using mechanical controls (e.g., knobs, switches, slider-bars, wheels), sensors (e.g., a position sensor, a tilt sensor, a microphone, a light sensor), a voice recognition module, and/or a touch screen. A digital picture frame may identify a user and based on the user's identity (e.g., the user's preferences or permissions), may display pictures to the user. Further, different users may modify a picture in different ways, so that two different users may view two different versions of the same picture.
Abstract:
An electronic camera and method of operating an electronic camera which detects whether an external device such as a personal computer is properly connected to the camera and in a state which permits communication. The camera monitors a data terminal ready (DTR) signal of an RS-232 connection in order to determine that the external device is properly connected and in a state which permits communication. Once the proper connection is detected, the camera can either transmit or receive images and/or audio from the external device. Accordingly, a specific switch which places the camera in a communication mode can be eliminated. Further, a single switch may be utilized for both controlling whether the camera records or plays images when there is no device connected, and which controls whether the camera transmits or receives images and/or audio when an external device is determined to be connected.
Abstract:
An information storage medium capable of recording and playing back still picture information is provided with a first information unit having one still picture information, and a first group unit which is composed of a set of first information units, and has a plurality of pieces of still picture information having different contents. Information is recorded in the first group unit.
Abstract:
When a digital still camera stores moving image data in an image memory card, audio data obtained by a microphone and audio data of desired music obtained from a music memory card are mixed at a desired mixing ratio, and the mixed audio data is stored in the image memory card with the moving image data. Thereby, audio such as background music can be recorded at the shooting, and the reproduction of the moving image is enjoyable.
Abstract:
A digital camera has a storage medium which stores imagedata and a DPOF associated with a print process of the image data, acquires information associated with the function of a printer upon connection of that printer, sets a CDPS job command associated with the print process of the image data on the basis of the acquired information associated with the functions, sets a print condition for the printer on the basis of the DPOF and CDPS command, and sends a print instruction. The printer acquires image data stored in the storage medium in accordance with the designated print condition and prints the image data.
Abstract:
A system for processing a visual capture operation as described. The system receives an indication of a visual capture operation performed from a rendered document. The indication specifies both a text sequence capture as part of the capture operation and a supplemental marking captured as part of the capture operation. The system determines an action to perform in response to receiving the indication, based both upon the text sequence specified in the indication and the supplemental markings specified by the indication.
Abstract:
A portable device having scanning, imaging or other data-capture capability is described. In some cases, the portable device can indicate to the user when enough information has been captured to uniquely identify a source document. In some cases, the portable device calculates timestamps and location-stamps indicating when and where a data capture occurred. In some cases, the portable device is controlled by gestures. In some cases, the portable scanning device has associated billing and content/service subscription information.
Abstract:
A digital camera receives position information from GPS satellites for detecting camera position when capturing an image. Additional information, which is composed of the camera position, camera azimuth and focal distance of the taking lens, is added to image data of the captured image as tag and recorded in an image file. When the captured image is reproduced, the map image generated according to the additional information is displayed below the captured image, covering an area from the image capture point toward the subject in the captured image. Field view lines and map symbols indicating the subjects are displayed in the map image. Further, the map image includes the extension line which passes the map symbol and is extended to the subject in the captured image for showing the correspondence between the map symbol and the subject.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device (100,200) includes an image capture means (245) for capturing an image, wherein the image capture means (245) has an orientation; and an image manager (255) coupled to the image capture means (245) for modifying the image using the orientation.
