摘要: The invention provides an electrophotographic photoreceptor, in which suppression of image defects and high sensitivity are compatible, and a method for production thereof. The invention also provides a coating fluid for forming a photosensitive layer and a method for production thereof, as well as an image-forming apparatus using said electrophoto-graphic photoreceptor. Briefly, the electrophoto-graphic photoreceptors may be constructed by forming an undercoating layer on a conductive support, and then forming a photosensitive layer on the undercoating layer. The undercoating layer contains titanium oxide particles in at least either needle shape or dendrite shape. The photosensitive layer contains an electric charge-generating material of which the primary particle size and cohesive particle size are in a range of 0.01 &mgr;m-10 &mgr;m. Accordingly, in the electrophotographic photoreceptors, it is possible to maintain high sensitivity and excellent durability and to form an image with no defect. The photosensitive layer in the electrophotographic photoreceptor has a multilayer structure consisting of a charge-generating layer and a charge-transporting layer. The charge-generating material is a phthalocyanine pigment.

摘要: Sustaining discharges are conducted in a first sub-field in a pair of adjacent first and second sub-fields. Then, writing discharges in a second sub-field are conducted after the sustaining discharges in the first sub-field without conducting any erasure discharge between the sustaining discharges and the writing discharges. A relation expressed by an equation L1=L2=1 and an inequality Ln+2≦Ln+1+Ln holds for a luminance weighting Li. The luminance weighting Li is a luminance weighting of the i-th lowest sub-field from the bottom among the plurality of sub-fields.

摘要: Immediately before a supply of a sequential scan pulse Pw to respective scan electrodes in a write discharge period B, an auxiliary scan pulse Phw opposite in polarity to the scan pulse is applied thereto. Immediately after the application of the scan pulse Pw, a sustaining pulse Ps1 is applied to the scan electrode and a sustaining pulse Pu1 opposite in polarity to the sustaining pulse Ps1 is sequentially supplied to the sustaining electrodes correspondingly to the sustaining pulse Ps1. The sustaining pulses Ps1 and Pu1 are continuously supplied to the scan electrodes and the sustaining electrodes to a time close to a start of a second sustaining pulse. By obtaining a stable write discharge and an improved transition to the sustaining discharge in a matrix type plasma display panel, it is possible to obtain a large display capacity and a wide driving voltage range.

摘要: A plasma display device that operates stably at low power consumption comprises a plurality of scan electrodes, a plurality of data electrode groups, a data pulse phase control circuit, and data drivers. The data pulse phase control circuit generates, at a different phase for each data electrode group, pulse strings that are composed of consecutive pulses in which the start timing of the first pulse is delayed and the end timing of the last pulse is advanced. A data driver is provided for each data electrode group, and these data drivers apply to the data electrodes display data that are synchronized with the pulse strings. The data electrodes in the plurality of data electrode groups realize screen display by the discharge that occurs at the intersections with the scan electrodes upon the application of data pulses.
