Abstract: An ice-making assembly for a refrigerator, which can effectively separate ice from a tray and a power transmission assembly for transmitting power to the tray are provided. The power transmission assembly includes a body unit defining an exterior of the ice-making assembly and a plurality of gear teeth protruding from an outer circumference of the body unit. Each of the gear teeth includes a first end portion protruding from the body unit by a predetermined distance and a second end portion further protruding from the body unit than the first end portion. According to the embodiments, even when the water is infiltrated into the power transmission assembly and frozen, the frozen ice can be removed in a direction by the above-described structures of the gears.

Abstract: A method for controlling packet service setup includes the steps of: transmitting a packet service request message containing a requested QoS to a packet service node by a mobile communication terminal; transmitting to the mobile communication terminal a packet service request response message including an assigned QoS determined in consideration of the requested QoS and network resources contained in the message received by the packet service node; comparing one or more parameter values among parameters contained in the assigned QoS contained in the packet service request response message from a mobile communication network with corresponding one or more parameter values among parameters contained in the QoS requested by the mobile communication terminal; and transmitting a packet service cancel request message if a difference between the parameter values is greater than or equal to a preset value.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bone marrow extractor. The bone marrow extractor of the present invention has an outer needle rod with a case having an upper portion and a lower portion in communication with each other. The case has a front end with a crushing blade and a rear portion with a stopper groove. An inner needle rod which has a main body having a front end with a crushing blade and a rear portion with a connector is inserted into the outer needle rod. The main body of the inner needle rod has an outer surface from which a stopper lever is protruded. The front end of the main body of the inner needle rod is protruded from the front end of the case of the outer needle rod when the stopper lever is fitted into the stopper groove. The inner needle rod and the outer needle rod cooperate with each other to crush bones through a rotation when the head of a driving means coupled to the connector operates. After bone crushing, only the inner needle rod is removed, and the outer needle rod is kept within the human body to suck and extract bone marrow in a syringe-like manner.

Abstract: An auto focus (AF) apparatus and method for a camera that improves the AF action by reducing the number of time and steps required of a conventional apparatus and method. An encoder initial value is detected by measuring an initial position of a lens unit by means of an encoder; matching the measured encoder initial value to an initial position value to which the lens unit is to move while performing the auto focus; performing the auto focus starting from the matched initial position value, and dividing a distance that the lens unit is to cover into sections corresponding to a preset number of steps; detecting an edge value which shows a brightness change for a contour of a subject for as many as the number of the preset steps. The AF is completed by moving the lens unit to a position corresponding to a maximum edge value selected from among the detected edge values.

Abstract: Provided are a dendrimer solid acid and a polymer electrolyte membrane using the same. The polymer electrolyte membrane includes a macromolecule of a dendrimer solid acid having ionically conductive terminal groups at the surface thereof and a minimum amount of ionically conductive terminal groups required for ionic conduction, thus suppressing swelling and allowing a uniform distribution of the dendrimer solid acid, thereby improving ionic conductivity. Since the number of ionically conductive terminal groups in the polymer electrolyte membrane is minimized and the polymer matrix in which swelling is suppressed is used, methanol crossover and difficulties of outflow due to a large volume may be reduced, and a macromolecule of the dendrimer solid acid having the ionically conductive terminal groups on the surface thereof is uniformly distributed. Accordingly, ionic conductivity is high and thus, the polymer electrolyte membrane shows good ionic conductivity even in non-humidified conditions.
