    摘要: A shielded electrical connector includes a connector body having contact pieces embedded therein and an “L”-shaped shield plate applied to the connector body with its horizontal and vertical sections lying on the top surface and rear side of the connector body, the shield plate having press-fit portions integrally connected to the lower end of the vertical section. The shield plate has thrust shoulders formed at its horizontal-to-vertical transition for use in pushing the press-fit portions. The electrical connector can be fixed to a printed circuit board by applying a push to the thrust shoulders of the shield plate, thereby pushing the press-fit portions of the shield plate right in the through holes in exact linear-alignment with the through holes. Thus, a strong thrust can be transmitted to each press-fit portion without causing it to be deformed or bent.

    摘要: In the fabrication of semiconductor devices such as active matrix displays, the need to pattern resist masks in photolithography increases the number of steps in the fabrication process and the time required to complete them and consequently represents a substantial cost. This invention provides a method for forming an impurity region in a semiconductor layer 303 by doping an impurity element into the semiconductor layer self-aligningly using as a mask the upper,layer (a second conducting film 306) of a gate electrode formed in two layers. The impurity element is doped into the semiconductor layer through the lower layer of the gate electrode (a first conducting film 305), and through a gate insulating film 304. By this means, an LDD region 313 of a GOLD structure is formed in the semiconductor layer 303.

Substrate 31 contains three fan-shaped conductive layers 34A, 34B, and 34C on positions having a same distance from the center of substrate 31. On the other hand, movable contact plate 32 retains three elastic contacts 36A, 36B, 36C, and rotates. The three contacts have continuity with each other and disposed at positions with a same distance from the center of substrate 31, spaced at a radial angle of 120°. When contact plate 32 is rotated, any two out of three elastic contacts 36A, 36B, and 36C consecutively contact with any two out of three conductive layers 34A, 34B, and 34C. Through the continuity, an electric signal is led out from terminals 35A, 35B, and 35C.

    摘要: A multiple-way electronic component includes a box-shaped casing having an upper wall, a lower wall, and an intermediate wall. The upper wall has a circular opening. A first push switch is located on a central area of the lower wall of the casing. Second, third, fourth, and fifth push switches are located on peripheral areas of the lower wall of the casing. A resilient contact arm is supported on the lower wall of the casing. A rotary member is rotatably supported by the intermediate wall of the casing. The rotary member has a polygonal hole. A movable contact retained by the rotary member moves into and out of contact with the resilient contact arm in accordance with rotation of the rotary member. An operation member has a lower end which fits in the polygonal hole in the rotary member. The lower end of the operation member engages the first push switch. The operation member has a cylindrical shaft extending upward from the lower end thereof. The cylindrical shaft extends to an exterior of the casing through the circular opening in the upper wall of the casing. The operation member and the rotary member are rotatable together. The operation member is movable upward and downward relative to the rotary member. A drive member connected to the cylindrical shaft has downward projections engaging the second, third, fourth, and fifth push switches respectively.

    摘要: The process of the present invention is a process for preparing 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone by subjecting phenol, and a sulfonating agent or phenolsulfonic acid to a dehydration reaction in the presence of a solvent, subsequently maintaining the reaction system at a temperature of between 100.degree. to 200.degree. C. and removing the solvent from the reaction system to cause the dehydration reaction to further proceed while allowing 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone to separate out and to subject dissolved 2,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone formed as a by-product to an isomerization reaction for converting the by-product to 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone, and eventually removing the solvent and the unreacted phenol from the system substantially entirely to complete the isomerization reaction, the process being characterized in that an aromatic sulfonic acid represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein X is a halogen atom, n is 0, 1 or 2, and m is 1 of 2 is caused to be present in the reaction system. 4,4'-Dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone can be produced by the process with a high purity and in a high yield.
