摘要： A modular crossbar arrangement for molded case circuit breakers allows a plurality of contact arm assemblies to be interconnected from a single modular unit. To provide increased acceleration to the movable contact arms a contact arm accelerator lever interfaces with the contact arm and crossbar assembly. To promote further acceleration of the movable contact arms to their closed positions, the movable contact arms in a multi-pole circuit breaker are staggered with respect to their rotational alignment within each pole on the crossbar assembly.

摘要： A molded case circuit interrupter of the type employing a thermal-magnetic trip unit to interrupt circuit current utilizes a flexible electrical braid conductor to connect between the thermal-magnetic trip unit and the movable contact arm. A helical spring arranged around the braid conductor at the welded connection with the movable contact arm provides long-term strain relief. A metal phosphate coating on the surface of the circuit breaker operating cradle and latch assembly eliminates polishing while insuring release of the cradle from the cradle-latch interface surfaces.

摘要： A compact current limiting circuit breaker with an electronic trip unit arranged within the circuit breaker cover and current transformers in the circuit breaker case incorporates reinforcement ribs in the cover to provide added strength. The cover also includes line terminal plugs that removably attach to the cover for preventing inadvertent access to the circuit breaker line terminals when the circuit breaker is energized. Protrusions formed on the bottom surface of the circuit breaker cover under the trip unit provide further strength while cooperating with flexible pads on the top of the current transformers to automatically compensate for manufacturing tolerances.

摘要： A circuit breaker enclosure consists of a cover and a case designed for robotic assembly of the circuit breaker components. A current transformer assembly and a printed wire board containing the electronic trip unit circuit are precisely positioned within the case and cover by means of a transitory circuit breaker case support platform. The transitory support platform includes four upstanding posts that pass through openings formed in the circuit breaker case and are received within corresponding openings through the circuit breaker cover. Leads extending from the current transformer assembly within the case become automatically positioned within corresponding openings through the printed wire board by means of tapered lead-in openings formed within the circuit breaker cover.

摘要： Molded case circuit breakers connected to two different sources of power within an industrial application are interlocked to prevent one circuit breaker from being turned on while the other circuit breaker is already on. The circuit breakers include a molded plastic crossbar arranged for rotation within the circuit breaker enclosure. The interlock arrangement consists of a pivoted bell crank assembly including a pair of pivotally mounted insulative posts on either end of the bell crank. A corresponding cam integrally formed on the circuit breaker crossbar is in interference with one of the upstanding posts when the circuit breaker is in the "OFF" position and is out of interference with the upstanding post when the circuit breaker is in its "ON" condition.
