    Abstract: Described herein is a gearbox for a motor vehicle including a plurality of forward gear ratios and a reverse gear ratio, the gearbox further including: a control device (configured for controlling the selection and the engagement of said forward gear ratios and of said reverse gear ratio; and a plurality of engagement devices that can be controlled by means of said control device for engaging the forward gear ratios or reverse gear ratio (RM) of the gearbox that are operatively associated to said devices. The gearbox includes a locking device, which is electrically controlled and configured for preventing actuation of the engagement device associated to a predetermined forward gear ratio, said locking device being configured for being actuated above a threshold speed of the motor vehicle on which said gearbox is installed.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a coating composition for metal surfaces comprising a polymer matrix and at least first and second functionalized nano-containers dispersed within the matrix and respectively containing active substances different from each other. Each of said first and second functionalized nano-containers defines a volume of nanometric size containing said active substance confined within a porous core and/or a porous shell that, in normal conditions, prevent the direct contact of the active substance with the external environment, while, in predetermined triggering conditions, allow the release of the active substance into external environment. The first functionalized nano-containers contain a corrosion inhibitor agent as the active substance, while the second functionalized nano-containers contain either an agent able to displace water or a precursor of a polymerizable species, able to form a polymeric layer such as to cover a damaged area and/or prevent the propagation of a crack or other defect, as the active substance.

    Abstract: A fuel electro-injector for a fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine, having an atomizer equipped with a nozzle and a valve needle defining a discharge section that is annular and has a width that continuously increases as the opening stroke of the valve needle proceeds. The opening stroke is directed outwards and is caused, in a proportional manner, by the operation of an electric actuator. The electro-injector has a high-pressure environment with an annular passageway around the lateral outer surface of the valve needle to supply fuel to the discharge section, and a low-pressure environment, which communicates with a fuel outlet and is separated from the high-pressure environment by a dynamic seal between the valve needle and the nozzle. The electro-injector is provided with a hydraulic connection between the electric actuator and the valve needle, with a pressure chamber axially delimited, on one side, by the valve needle and, in use, is filled with fuel that, once compressed, axially pushes the valve needle along the opening stroke. The hydraulic connection is placed in the low-pressure environment, so that the pressure chamber only communicates with this environment.

    Abstract: A method for monitoring the quality of the primer layer applied to the body of a motor vehicle prior to painting (enamelling) envisages provision of at least one manipulator robot carrying a monitoring head. The monitoring head includes a light source constituted by an array of LED sources and a videocamera that are held in a position fixed with respect to one another while they are displaced with respect to the surface to be monitored following the profile of said surface.
