Abstract: Provided are adhesive articles and assemblies that include a flat and at least partially elastic backing along with a patterned adhesive coating on each side of the backing. When viewed from directions perpendicular to the backing, the adhesive on one side of the backing does not substantially overlap the adhesive on the opposing side of the backing. As a result, it is possible to use a stretch removable adhesive article that uses, for example, an aggressive adhesive to provide a reliable bond but still remove cleanly and easily from delicate substrates that would otherwise be damaged or destroyed if bonded with conventional adhesive constructions.

Abstract: Optically clear stretch releasing pressure sensitive adhesive films containing a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition and a tacky tab are provided. The pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are formed from elastomeric silicone polymer selected from the group consisting of urea-based silicone copolymers, oxamide-based silicone copolymers, amide-based silicone copolymers, urethane-based silicone copolymers, polydiorganosiloxane polymers, or mixtures of these copolymers. The pressure sensitive adhesive compositions may also contain an MQ tackifying resin. The pressure sensitive adhesive compositions may be used to form adhesive articles.

Abstract: The invention relates to an adhesive film strip comprising at least two, particularly three, layers, which adhesive film strip can be detached without residues and nondestructively by expansive stretching substantially in the adhesion plane, with a carrier on which a first external adhesive compound layer is present on at least one side, wherein the adhesive compound layer consists of adhesive compound formed on the basis of vinyl aromatic block copolymers and adhesive resins, wherein at least 75% of the resin (relative to the overall resin content) is selected with a DACP (diacetone alcohol cloud point) of greater than −20° C., preferably greater than 0° C., and the carrier has at least one layer made from a polyurethane with an elongation at break of at least 100% and a restoring power of more than 50%. Abstract: Herein are disclosed methods and assemblies for mounting an article to a surface by a double-faced adhesive. At least one spacer is used that is deflectable upon the application of sufficient force. When in a first, undeflected condition, the spacer provides sufficient space between the mounting surface and the double-faced adhesive such that the double-faced adhesive does not contact the mounting surface, thus the position of the article can be adjusted. When in a second, deflected condition, the spacer allows the double-faced adhesive to contact the mounting surface such that a bond can be established between the double-faced adhesive and the mounting surface.
