    Abstract: A method for writing data to a dual-actuator disk drive includes providing a multi-actuator disk drive having a first actuator communicating with first disk platters and a second actuator communicating with second disk platters, receiving in a storage controller coupled to the disk drive a data stream including groups of blocks of data to be written to the multi-actuator disk drive, alternately distributing from a disk controller in the disk drive sequential ones of the groups of blocks of data from the data stream to the first actuator and the second actuator as defined by commands from the storage controller, and simultaneously writing from the first actuator to the at least one first disk platter ones of the groups of blocks of data routed to the first actuator and writing from the second actuator to the at least one second disk platter ones of the groups of blocks of data routed to the second actuator.

    Abstract: A system and method for improved evaluation of semiconductor hardware is provided. The system comprises a firmware repository server, which firmware repository server comprises a plurality of firmware packages for the one or more evaluation hardware boards. The firmware repository server is further configured to: receive a firmware request for a user evaluation hardware board from a first of the client devices, search the plurality of firmware packages for compatible firmware packages for the user evaluation hardware board, generate a catalog of the compatible firmware packages for the user evaluation hardware board, transmit the catalog to the first client device, receive a request for a user selected firmware package from the catalog of compatible firmware packages, and to transmit firmware of the user selected firmware package to the client device for installation on the user evaluation hardware board.

    Abstract: A high power-factor buck-boost converter having a rectified low-frequency AC line voltage input and a DC output is provided. The converter may include a magnetic element, a controlled switch having a gate terminal and a drain terminal that is coupled to the magnetic element, a rectifier diode coupled to the magnetic element, an output smoothing capacitor coupled to the rectifier diode, and a control circuit having an output coupled to the gate terminal of the controlled switch for repeatedly turning the controlled switch off for a first time duration and on for a second time duration. The second time duration may be determined as a function of the first time duration immediately preceding the second time duration.
