    Abstract: A mobile telephone includes an application processor, internal memory, an external memory card, a backup software module and a restore software module. User data is stored in the internal memory. The backup software module detects changes in the user data, resulting in modified user data. The modified user data is stored onto the external memory card. When the user data is erased from the internal drive or the wireless device needs to be reset the restore software module reads the modified user data from the external memory card and writes the modified user data back onto the internal memory. In this fashion, any modified user data is not lost when the wireless device is reset.

    Abstract: A system and method are provided for verifying data copies and reverifying the copies over the life span of media according to a verification policy. Characteristics of media and use of media are tracked to provide metrics which may be used to dynamically reevaluate and reassign verification policies to optimize media usage. Copies that fail verification operations may be repaired by repeating a storage operation for recent copies or by substituting a close temporal copy of the failed copy.

    Abstract: An inductor may include a planar ferrite core. A first group of one or more grooves is formed in a first side of the ferrite core. A second group of two or more grooves is formed in a second side of the ferrite core. The grooves in the first and second groups are oriented such that each groove in the first group overlaps with two corresponding grooves in the second group. A first plurality of vias communicates through the ferrite core between the first and second sides of the ferrite core. Each via is located where a groove in the first group overlaps with a groove in the second group. A conductive material is disposed in the first and second groups of grooves and in the vias to form an inductor coil.

    Abstract: As a promising clean fuel for vehicles, hydrogen can be used for propulsion, either directly or in fuel cells. Hydrogen storage compositions having high storage capacity, good dehydrogenation kinetics, and hydrogen release and uptake reactions which are reversible are disclosed and described. Generally a hydrogen storage composition of a metal aluminum hexahydride and a metal amide can be used. A combined system (Li3AlH6/3LiNH2) with a very high inherent hydrogen capacity (7.3 wt %) can be carried out at moderate temperatures, and with approximately 95% of that inherent hydrogen storage capacity (7.0%) is reversible over repeated cycling of release and uptake.
