摘要: An ion generating element (10) has at least one first discharger (12) for generating positive ions and at least one second discharger (13) for generating negative ions, both fitted or printed on a single dielectric member (11). The first and second dischargers (12) and (13) are each composed of a pair of a first or second discharging electrode (12a) or (13a), respectively, formed on the surface of the dielectric member (11) and a first or second induction electrode (12b) or (13b), respectively, buried in the dielectric member (11), and are arranged both on the same flat surface of the dielectric member (11) but separately from and independently of each other. This construction helps to alleviate the neutralization among the generated ions themselves, thus to effectively release both positive and negative ions, and thereby to enhance the ion generation efficiency.

摘要: When the temperature of a fixing roller detected by a temperature detecting section is less than a predetermined fixing temperature, and a determining portion determines that an image forming unit forms a color image, a control portion stops electric power supply from an electric double layer capacitor to a second fixing heater and allows a commercial power source to supply electric power to a first fixing heater to heat the fixing roller. When the determining portion determines that the image forming unit forms a monochromatic image, the control portion allows the commercial power source to supply electric power to the first fixing heater to heat the fixing roller and allows the electric double layer capacitor to supply electric power to the second fixing heater to heat the fixing roller.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide a mounting structure adapted to easily attach and remove a magnetic disk drive thereto and therefrom. In one embodiment, the mounting structure includes a device connector connectable to an interface connector. A clamper moves between a fixing position and a releasing position to secure or release an end portion of a housing. A lever keeps the clamper at the releasing position until the interface connector is connected to the device connector when a magnetic disk drive is pushed into a mounting structure. The clamper positions the clamper at the fixing position after the interface connector has been connected to the device connector.

摘要: A clock control circuit 22 in a control circuit 21 provided in a transmitter 25 controls a gate circuit 12 based on an instruction from a microcomputer 32 to stop the output of the clock to a cable 115 for a first predetermined period of time. Then, a read-out circuit in the microcomputer 32 accesses an EDID 31 stored in an information storing circuit of a receiver 43 via the cable 115, and specifies the first predetermined period of time based on the EDID 31. A reconfiguration circuit 42 provided in the receiver 43 counts the clock-holding state, and resets at least one of the receiver 43 and a TV 114 if the clock has been stopped for a second predetermined period of time. This reset operation suppresses the display of noise on the TV 114. Therefore, the occurrence of noise due to mis-latching between the clock and the data can be reduced even after a signal switching that entails a change in the clock frequency.

摘要: The present invention relates to a nucleic acid analysis device for analysis of nucleic acid in a sample through fluorometry, in which a localized surface plasmon by light irradiation, and in which a nucleic acid probe or a nucleic acid synthase for the analysis of the nucleic acid in the sample is disposed in a region of generation of the surface plasmon. The present invention allows the fluorescence intensifying effect of the surface plasmon to be produced efficiently and also enables the immobilization of a DNA probe or the nucleic acid synthase in a region on which the fluorescence intensifying effect is exerted, thus making it possible to carry out a measurement on the base elongation reaction without having to remove the unreacted substrate with the fluorescent molecule.

摘要: A regulator circuit for reducing the output noise when regulators are switched includes a linear regulator and a switching regulator. The linear regulator generates a first regulator voltage from an input voltage with a first feedback loop. The switching regulator generates a second regulator voltage from the input voltage with a second feedback loop, which is connected to the first feedback loop. A loop control circuit controls the first feedback loop so as to lower the first regulator voltage when the switching regulator is activated.
