Abstract:
Improved filter vessel assemblies for filtering fluids in fluid systems (e.g., industrial and/or commercial systems) are provided. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for advantageous filter vessel assemblies that include a releasable locking assembly for a removable filter member (e.g., a filter bag). The present disclosure provides for improved systems/designs for easily securing and/or unsecuring removable filter members to or from a locking assembly of a filter vessel assembly. Improved, convenient, low-cost and/or effective systems and methods for easily securing and/or unsecuring removable filter members to or from a filter vessel assembly by utilizing advantageous locking assemblies associated with a supporting assembly or basket assembly of the filter vessel assembly are provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a filtering assembly (1) for filtering at least one fluid circulating in particular in an engine or a hydraulic device, comprising: a filter body (2), which comprises a vessel (3) and a head (4), the vessel (3) and the head (4) being provided to engage with one another in order to close the filter body (2), in particular by screwing; a tube (15), in particular a central tube, which is inside the filter body (2) and extends along a longitudinal axis (X); a removable filtration cartridge (16,) which is accommodated in the filter body (2) and includes an upper end plate (20), a lower end plate (21) and a filtration medium (22) which extends between the upper (20) and lower (21) end plates, the filtering medium (22) having a tubular opening (17) for surrounding the tube (15), characterized in that the upper end plate (20) comprises first reversible rigid-connection means (25) and in that the vessel (3) comprises second reversible rigid-connection means (26) which are complementary to the first reversible rigid-connection means (25), such as to enable the filtration cartridge (16) to stay in position in the vessel on the one hand, and in the filtering assembly (1) on the other hand, only by rigidly connecting the first and second reversible rigid-connection means (25, 26).
Abstract:
A filtering apparatus includes a pot-type filter housing (10), a filter element (28) accommodated in the housing, a holding mechanism (38) disposed in the filter housing (10) to removably fix the filter element along its longitudinal axis, and a sealing device (60) that seals between a lid (20) of the filter housing (10) and the filter element (28). The holding mechanism (38) is provided with cooperating holding elements embodied on the interior face of the filter housing (10) as well as on the filter element (28). The filtering apparatus dispenses with the need for O-seals that are known in prior art and extend in a radial direction between the filter element and the filter head as a housing lid because the sealing device (60) encompasses at least one sealing edge (62) or sealing surface placed parallel to the longitudinal axis in a radial direction and seals under the effect of the pressure applied it by the holding mechanism (38). The invention further relates to a filter element that is to be used in such filtering apparatus.
Abstract:
An oil filter assembly is disclosed for a machine, such as an internal combustion engine, that has an oil output port and an oil input port. A mounting plate is fixed with an outer enclosure. The mounting plate is further adapted to conduct oil from the machine into a peripheral portion of the outer enclosure, and then returning oil from a central portion of the outer enclosure back to the machine. Oil may pass from the peripheral portion to the central portion through a primary filter having a first porosity. A pressure-actuated valve is fixed fluidly between the portions of the outer enclosure.
Abstract:
A cup-shaped housing assembly for a device for separating liquid from air has a cup-shaped housing body having an interior. At least one annular filter element for separating liquid from air is arranged in the housing body. A housing cover closes off an end face of the housing body. The housing cover has an inner side that is facing the interior and an outer side that is facing away from the interior. The housing cover has at least one raw air inlet through which raw air is supplied to the interior. The housing cover has at least one clean air opening though which filtered clean air is discharged from the interior. For sealing the raw air inlet relative to the clean air opening, at least one sealing surface is arranged at the outer side of the housing cover across sections thereof.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a base having base threads and a flexible assembly having assembly threads, wherein said base threads and the assembly threads are capable of interfacing to connect the base to the flexible assembly, wherein the flexible assembly is capable of contracting in response to the application of torque when the assembly is connected to the base, and wherein the contracting of the assembly presents a visual, tactile or audible indication that a sufficient amount of torque has been applied to connect the flexible assembly to the base.
Abstract:
A liquid filter cartridge is provided. Preferred seal arrangements are provided, to provide for preferred axial load conditions, with respect to one or more of the end caps of the cartridge. Some cartridge configurations provided include no core structure or outer liner structure therein, to support axial load. Assemblies using the cartridge, and methods of assembly and use, are provided. The liquid filter cartridge can be a serviceable cartridge, or it can be retained permanently in a housing.

Oil passes through the pressure actuated valve only when an oil pressure differential between the peripheral and central portions exceeds a threshold pressure. A secondary filter has a second porosity greater than the first porosity, and is fixed between the pressure-actuated valve and the central portion.
