Abstract: A display device is provided and includes a substrate on which a TFT is formed. The display device including an organic film formed on the TFT, the organic film having a through hole, and a first common electrode, an upper pixel electrode and a second common electrode which are stacked in this order above the organic passivation film, a filler being filled in the through hole, and wherein the upper pixel electrode is electrically connected with the TFT, and an edge of the upper pixel electrode is located directly on the filler.

Abstract: A first liquid crystal cell of a plurality of liquid crystal cells of an optical element includes a first alignment film covering first and second transparent electrodes on a first substrate, a second alignment film covering third and fourth transparent electrodes on a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first liquid crystal cell includes the first and second transparent electrodes extending in a first direction, the third and fourth transparent electrodes extending in a second direction, the first alignment film aligning liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer in the second direction when no voltages are applied to the first and second transparent electrodes, and the second alignment film aligning liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer in the second direction when no voltages are applied to the third and fourth transparent electrodes.

Abstract: Disclosed is a display device including a substrate and a plurality of pixels over the substrate. At least one of the plurality of pixels includes a driving transistor and a liquid crystal element electrically connected to the driving transistor. Abstract: According to one embodiment, a strain detection device includes a first sensor sheet and a second sensor sheet opposed to the first sensor sheet with a base sandwiched therebetween, and a controller which drives the first sensor sheet and the second sensor sheet. Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device with a sensor includes: a substrate including a display region and a peripheral region on a periphery of the display region; detection electrodes arranged in a row-column configuration in the display region; and detection lines coupled to the respective detection electrodes. A shape of the substrate in a plan view includes a curve of a curved portion. The detection electrodes include a first electrode and a second electrode having a shape different from that of the first electrode in a plan view. The second electrode is juxtaposed with the curved portion. The detection lines each include a first line coupled to the first electrode and a second line coupled to the second electrode. The second line passes from the display region across the peripheral region and extends to a position overlapping with the second electrode in a plan view.
