    Abstract: Anapparatus for continuously filtering a sludge suspension, having a hollow shaft (2) that is rotatably mounted in a housing (1) and which that is fluidically connected to an inner chamber (6), which is surrounded by a filter membrane (5), of a discoid filter element (3) that radially protrudes from the hollow shaft (2), for removing a filtrate. A higher throughput of the filtrate, independently of the solids content of the sludge suspension to be filtered, is provided by the filter cake thickness and the filtration duration. The the radius (r) of the filter element (3) increases in the circumferential direction from a low pressure radius ri to a high pressure radius rh,reducing the free housing cross section.

    Abstract: A filtering device includes a pleated filter that includes a filter base having folds that repeatedly form mountains and valleys and having a cylindrical shape whose direction of an axis is a ridge line direction of the folds and in which the mountains are located outward in a radial direction, an untreated-water nozzle through which untreated water is ejected toward an outer circumferential surface of the pleated filter, a case that includes an outer tubular portion provided so as to surround the pleated filter and including a nozzle opening of the untreated-water nozzle therein, a filtered-water flow path that leads filtered water having passed through the pleated filter from the inside of the cylinder of the pleated filter to the outside of the case, and a discharge flow path through which discharge water that is not filtered by the pleated filter is discharged to the outside of the case. The pleated filter is configured to rotate in a direction about the axis. Ridge lines of the plural mountains of the pleated filter are curved in a shape that expands in a direction opposite to the rotation direction.

The strainer is comprised of circular ring members arranged side by side with gaps in between and disposed inside an accommodating section the device casing. The circular ring members comprise end-part circular ring members at both ends of the strainer and a plurality of intermediate circular ring members disposed between the end-part circular ring members and have inward projections projecting from their inner circumferential surfaces. A plurality of lateral bridge members are installed between the end-part circular ring members, and these bridge members have engaging parts that engage with the respective inward projections of the intermediate circular ring members so as to hold the intermediate circular ring members.

    Abstract: A single roll wash press comprising a housing and a drum rotatably mounted within the housing. The drum includes a perforated outer wall and a longitudinally extending centerline axis and is rotatable about the axis.
