Abstract:
A cutting fluid circulation device includes a first tank reservoir, a primary filter, and a first pump. The tank reservoir stores cutting fluid discharged from a machine tool. The primary filter is provided in the first tank reservoir and filters the cutting fluid. The first pump pumps up the cutting fluid filtered by the primary filter in the first tank reservoir. The first tank reservoir is partitioned into a filtration tank in which the primary filter is disposed, a pumping-up tank in which the first pump is disposed, and a connecting channel in which the cutting fluid in the filtration tank is allowed to flow into the pumping-up tank. The connecting channel has an identical channel width along an entire length thereof, or at least a portion of the channel width is narrowed stepwise or continuously from the filtration tank to the pumping-up tank.
Abstract:
A separator prevents microplastics from entering the environment by regenerating the pressure consumption of filters for removing microplastics in effluent from any source but in particular removing microfibers from washing machine wastewater. The separator includes a chamber with an inlet and an outlet, a sieve structure forming a permeable barrier between the inlet and the outlet to filter the effluent, the sieve structure thus having an inlet side for unfiltered effluent and an outlet side for filtered effluent, the separator further including at least one pump in fluid communication with the outlet of the chamber, and at least one sensor is provided, and wherein the pump is arranged to be activated in accordance with the output from the sensor.
Abstract:
Water filter with self-rinsing capability that includes filter housing, hollow cartridge core, and mesh filter. The filter housing includes a hollow housing with top and drain openings, a top cover with inlet and outlet ports, a one-way pressure valve, and a drain tap that includes a rod, an opening and closing knob that is connected to the rod, and an opening and closing barrier with passageway that is connected to the rod. The cartridge comprises of a tube with inlet and outlet passageways, and spray pipes with spray nozzles, and enables water to flows from the tube into the spray pipes and outside into the filter housing through the nozzles. The mesh filter has a shape of a hollow cylinder that is worn on the tube in a gap between the tube and the spray pipes.
Abstract:
A rotary disc filter is provided with an integrated backwash and chemical cleaning system. In one mode of operation, backwash is directed through a control valve to one or more nozzles for spraying the backwash onto the filter media forming a part of a rotary disc filter. In a second mode, a chemical cleaning mode, the pump directs backwash through an eductor that induces a chemical into the inductor which is mixed with the backwash to form a backwash-chemical mixture that is sprayed onto the filter media. A control system is used in conjunction with the backwash and cleaning systems to monitor process information and/or filter media properties and to determine when to perform backwashes and regenerative cleanings in order to optimize the performance of the filter system.
Abstract:
A multi-step press apparatus for sludge dewatering and waste water filtration comprising: a tank, an inflatable membrane, a level sensor, and a nozzle assembly.
Abstract:
A capture unit for use with an antimicrobial application unit may include an upstream filter and a downstream filter. The upstream filter may be positioned to receive effluent from the application unit and to filter solid components from the effluent. The resultant upstream effluent filtrate may then be passed downstream to the downstream filter. The downstream filter may be used to filter an antimicrobial component from the upstream effluent filtrate and the resultant downstream effluent filtrate may be suitable for disposal as wastewater discharge. The antimicrobial is preferably a quaternary ammonium compound, is more preferably an alkylpyridinium chloride, and is most preferably cetylpyridinium chloride.
Abstract:
Debris adhering to the outer surface of a barrel-type fish screen is cleared by air bursts from a series of perforated air pipes positioned inside the outer foraminous shell of the screen, the perforations being holes with axes at an acute angle to the screen radius for efficient use of the air. Separately, the conical water collection manifold mounted inside the shell is open at its narrow end, with a valve mounted to that open end to control the opening. The opening prevents reduced water inflow at that end of the manifold, and the valve adjusts the access of the surrounding water to the opening, thereby allowing the manifold to be tuned to more closely approach a uniform distribution of axial water flow along the length of the collection manifold for different ambient conditions. Webs joining the air pipes to the collection manifold are also included in certain embodiments of the invention to support increased lengths of the entire apparatus without loss of structural integrity, including support for the foraminous shell.
