Abstract:
A method and an electronic device arranged to execute application programs, wherein the device comprises an operating system enabling a separation of user interface data from the rest of the data processing system, the device being arranged to check, in response to starting an execution of the application program, whether screen size information of the application program corresponds to a display size of the terminal; and download, in response to the screen size of the application program differing from the display size of the terminal, a new user interface file with an appropriate screen size from a network server.
Abstract:
Described herein are a method, apparatus and computer program to automatically inform a second party to a call that a first party to the call has or will disconnect due to a power source, such as a battery, of a terminal used by the first party becoming depleted. The second party can be informed by the generation and transmission of any suitable type of message, including a SMS message, a MMS message and a IMS message.
Abstract:
Apparatus, computer program products and methods allow inclusion and segmentation of multiple SDUs within a PDU, and generate information (such as header information) necessary to identify, e.g., the position of the segmented SDUs within the PDU. Prior knowledge of the typically used (i.e., predetermined) SDU size is used to perform segmentation operations, hi one exemplary variant, apparatus, methods and computer program products determine if a particular one of a set of input data units (SDUs) is to be segmented in order to fit a portion of the set, including a segment of the particular input data unit, into an output data unit (PDU); segment the input data unit in response to determining the particular input data unit is to be segmented; add the portion of the set to a data portion of the output data unit, and add into the output data unit an indication of a position of the segment in the data portion. In another variant, apparatus, computer program products and methods receive first data units, each of the first data units including a plurality of data portions having a plurality of second data units, each of at least two of the first data units including an indication of a position of a segment of a second data unit in associated ones of the data portions; combine using at least the indications the segments to create a complete second data unit; and output the complete second data unit.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing confirmed OTA terminal configuration includes a processing element configured to communicate configuration data to a mobile terminal. The processing element is also configured to initiate a. confirmation sequence to confirm proper receipt of the configuration data at the mobile terminal, and to receive information indicating whether the configuration data was properly received at the mobile terminal.
Abstract:
Systems, apparatuses and methods for facilitating identification of the originator of a communication. A communication is received from a sending device. Sending device identification information is requested from a distributed contact database fashioned from the contact databases of the communication devices in a group of communication devices. If the sending device identification information is available at a given communication device, it is received from the communication device.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing pattern detection may include a processor. The processor may be configured to iteratively test different models and corresponding scales for each of the models. The models may be employed for modeling parameters corresponding to a visually detected data. The processor may be further configured to evaluate each of the models over a plurality of iterations based on a function evaluation of each of the models, select one of the models based on the function evaluation of the selected one of the models, and utilize the selected one of the models for fitting the data.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes least one processor and at least one memory including a computer program, the at least one memory and the computer program operable to, with the at least one processor, direct the apparatus at least to: identify a mobile station (MS) as a tunneling protocol endpoint; and configure an access bearer for the MS to prevent activation of a path management procedure for an entire data session; wherein the path management procedure comprises at least one of echo request messages, echo response messages, and version not supported messages.
Abstract:
A mobile station executed method, wherein upon changing from a current cell to a new cell in a wireless packet data network the mobile station enters the new cell; generates a cell change packet data unit (PDU) message for informing the network of the location of the mobile station in the new cell; buffers the cell change PDU message into a PDU transmit queue before any buffered PDUs that were present before the mobile station entered the new cell; and transmits the buffered cell change PDU before any of the buffered PDUs that were present before the mobile station entered the new cell.
Abstract:
A method and a device for reporting the number of correctly decoded transport blocks in a wireless system. The maximum number of correctly decoded transport blocks within a reporting period is determined. Then the actual number of correctly decoded transport blocks is determined and cultivated into an indication thereof on the basis of the maximum number. The indication is sent to a network element capable of decoding it for analysis.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an electronic device, which includes a display component, in which at least one controllable element is arranged to be visualized in its entirety, the control of which element is arranged to be based on determining a change (M) relating to the attitude or position of the device and camera means arranged to form image frames (IMAGE1, IMAGE2), and in which, in order to control the functions of the device, such as, for example, to control the element, the change is arranged to be determined, using optical data-flow algorithms, from the image frames formed by the camera means, which image frames are arranged to be compared to each other in a set manner, and on the basis of which comparison the said change is arranged to be determined. The image frames are arranged to be segmented in a selected manner, from which at least one movement vector (SR, SL, SUp, SDown) determining the said change is arranged to be determined from at least some of the segments (SEGMENT1, SEGMENT2).
