摘要: Provided are biodegradable orthopedic implants, corrosion-resistant coating for orthopedic implants, and methods of making. The biodegradable orthopedic implant can include a Mg alloy having a coating including a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first layer can be an oxide layer coated on an external surface of a magnesium alloy implant. The second layer can include lawsone embedded in PCL, and the third layer can include PCL. To manufacture the coated orthopedic implant, the implant can be immersed in an alkaline solution to form an oxide-coated implant and implant can then be coated with a PCL lawsone solution. An additional polymer protective layer can be added.

摘要: In one aspect, the disclosure relates to a method for the direct synthesis of complex N,N,O-trisubstituted hydroxylamines by N—O bond formation. In another aspect, the method can successfully be employed using a wide variety of commercially available alcohols and secondary amines and enables the construction of large fragment-based libraries of trisubstituted hydroxylamines for drug discovery purposes. Also disclosed are N,N,O-trisubstituted hydroxylamines having low basicity, high stability at ambient temperatures, and an inherent lack of reactivity towards acetylating and sulfonylating enzymes that confer mutagenicity on less-substituted hydroxylamines.

摘要: Described herein are substrates, devices, methods for treating and preventing bacterial and fungal infections, such as infections associated with medical devices, and the like. 摘要: Various examples of a system for peanut sorting and grading are disclosed herein. The system for grading peanut maturity, can include: a sample feeder configured to supply individual peanuts to an imaging area; a sorting board comprising a plurality of chutes and a plurality of gates, each chute of the plurality of chutes designated for a grade of peanut; and program instructions to obtain the digital image of the individual peanut; determine the grade of the individual peanut; and sort the individual peanut based on the grade of the individual peanut. A method for grading peanut maturity, can include feeding an individual peanut to an imaging area; obtaining a digital image of the individual peanut; determining a grade of the individual peanut based on an average color; and sorting the individual peanut in a chute of a sorting board based on the grade of the individual peanut.
