摘要: An electrical power plant that includes a fuel cell and at least one recycle system for recycling at least a first reactant, for reuse by the fuel cell. The fuel cell discharges a first exit stream that includes the first reactant and inerts. The recycle system comprises a separator that receives the first exit stream from the fuel cell and separates the first reactant contained in the first exit stream from inerts contained in the exit stream. The separated first reactant is directed back to the fuel cell for reuse. The remaining inerts and unseparated first reactant are discharged by the separator and then recirculated back into the separator, without progressing through the fuel cell, to separate additional first reactant from the inerts.

摘要: A method for servicing firefighter's turnout gear includes the step of transporting a mobile servicing facility in proximity to a fire department facility. The mobile servicing facility carries cleaning equipment for cleaning firefighter's turnout gear. For example, the cleaning equipment may include a cleaning machine for use with a carbon dioxide-based cleaning agent, a solvent, or laundry equipment. The method also includes the steps of operating the cleaning equipment to clean turnout gear of the fire department facility, and transporting the mobile servicing facility away from the fire department facility. Optionally, the mobile servicing facility also carries repairing equipment, supplies for repairing the turnout gear, power generation equipment, and/or a tracking system for preparing a report of services performed on the turnout gear.

摘要: Printer and method adapted to reduce variability in ejected ink drop volume. A print head includes a plurality of nozzles integrally attached to the print head, each nozzle being capable of ejecting an ink droplet therefrom. At least one of the nozzles has an undesirable characteristic producing ink droplets of non-nominal volume. A waveform generator is connected to the nozzles for generating a plurality of waveforms to be supplied to the nozzles, so that the nozzles eject the ink droplets in response to the waveforms supplied thereto. Each waveforms has a plurality of pulses controlling ink droplet volume. A controller is provided for controlling the waveforms supplied to the nozzles and for transmitting the waveforms to the nozzles in order to eject the ink droplets so as to compensate for the non-nominal volume by controlling the number of pulses in the waveform. In this manner, all nozzles produce ink droplets of nominal volume regardless of physical or electrical variations between nozzles.

摘要: An applicator for applying a flexible tape to a planar sheet having a base, a table, a robotic arm and an applicator head. The applicator head is carried by the robotic arm and includes a cradle for receiving a spool of flexible tape. The robotic arm moves the applicator head through the Cartesian coordinate system relative to the table. A motor feeds flexible tape out from the spool, over a dancer arm through a plurality of rollers. A sensor associated with the dancer arm measures the pressure or position in a cylinder connected to the dancer arm and forwards a signal to the motor to increase the speed if the dancer arm pressure is high, and decrease the motor speed if dancer arm pressure is low. A plurality of optical sensors determine the layer of flexible tape currently being removed from the reel, and adjust the motor speed to adjust for the varying length of material removed per revolution as concentric layers of flexible tape are removed from the spool.
