    摘要: A method of manufacturing a flow cell with a cell housing having a bore for the passage of sample, and with an inner layer of a totally reflecting polymer material for guiding radiation through the bore for the analysis of the sample, comprises the steps of: a) providing a tube of the polymer material in the bore of the cell housing, and b) applying a force on the walls of the tube from the interior of the tube for pressing the walls of the tube against the cell housing. The force may be applied by any suitable means, for example by drawing a mandrel through the interior of the tube, or by using pressurized gas or liquid. The resulting flow cell has a smooth inner surface with improved optical properties.

    摘要: A kernel provides a mechanism allowing various applications (e.g. CRM, logistics, procurement, etc.) hosted on a plurality of different application servers, to share access to a common underlying system (e.g. database). An automated process for implementing a kernel change (e.g. for upgrade or replacement) may employ a “Stop-the-World” approach involving suspension of application server instances, coordinated by the start service of the last application server whose kernel is to be changed. As used herein, suspending refers to halting any processing prior to calling a central service (CS) as long as a CS instance is unavailable, and then to resuming processing once the CS instance becomes available. This suspension of relevant clients avoids errors from arising during the downtime of the CS instance. Once the application server instances are in a stopped state, the CS instance is restarted. Then, the application server instances are resumed, and their kernels are changed.

    摘要: An aircraft passenger chair has a support frame, a seat and a backrest. A position adjustment mechanism is coupled between the frame and the backrest by a unidirectional force transmission to permit tilting the backrest clockwise forward into a parking position while simultaneously shifting the seat backward independently of the position adjustment mechanism to increase the space between two rows of seats. Operating the position adjustment mechanism tilts the backrest counterclockwise from an upright position into a rest position and returns the backrest into its upright position. Bringing the backrest into the parking position and shifting the seat simultaneously backward is independent of tilting the backrest into a rest position. Similarly returning the backrest and the seat into the respective normal position is also independent of returning the backrest from the rest position into the normal position.
