    Abstract: A system for providing operating or charging current supply in different modes of operation includes an electric machine including a rotor and a stator having stator windings, at least one charge storage device, such as a battery, and an inverter disposed between the charge storage device terminals and the electric machine. A contact arrangement modifies electrical interconnections between phases of the inverter and the stator windings. In a supply mode, the electrical interconnections are controlled so that each inverter phase is electrically interconnected with a stator winding set having windings separated from each other by stator windings in other winding sets for driving the rotor of the electrical machine. In a charge mode, however, these interconnections are controlled so that each inverter phase is electrically interconnected with a stator winding set having windings directly adjacent to each other and are not separated from each other.

    Abstract: A device for communicating and providing power over a cable having at least two conductors comprises an inductor having two secondary windings and one primary winding, and a transceiver coupled to the primary winding of the inductor, the two secondary windings of the inductors being coupled to two of the at least two conductors of the cable. Further, a voltage signal provided by the secondary windings of the inductors to the conductors varies symmetrically from an average potential. The inductor of the device can also comprise two primary windings connected in series and two secondary windings connected in series, the secondary windings also connected to two of the at least two conductors in the cable, wherein the voltage signal provided to the two conductors from the secondary windings varies symmetrically from an average potential.

    Abstract: A stator of an electric motor is provided. The stator includes a plurality of segments, each of the segments including a tooth having a magnetically-permeable material, an electric coil surrounding the tooth, and at least one insulator. The stator also includes a plurality of connectors, each connector including first and second terminals, the first terminal adapted to be inserted into the at least one insulator and to couple to the electric coil of each of the plurality of segments and a circuit board coupled to input power lines and including apertures adapted to receive the second terminals of the plurality of connectors. The circuit board is coupled to the electric coils of each of the plurality of segments via when the second terminals are received in the apertures.

    Abstract: Networked automation systems having electric actuation from a high voltage source. The electric actuator includes a switch mode power supply coupled to the high voltage source as a principal power source. The networked automation systems include a controller device having an output network port wired to an input network port of the motor drive. The controller device is also coupled to an auxiliary source of power. Thus, a regulation circuit of the switch mode power supply can be coupled to the auxiliary source of power, thereby providing power for the regulation circuit at start up.

The system further includes one or more thermo-electric temperature responsive devices. The thermo-electric temperature devices are mountable onto a surface of the circuit board facing the field windings. The system further includes a thermally conductive, but non-electrically conductive material, connecting the one or more thermo-electric devices to the stator windings.
