Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided to improve the efficiency of resource allocation in wireless communication networks. In one provided embodiment, a wireless communication device determines a received signal strength of each of a number of signals received from a number of transmission sectors, provides first channel information for first signals including a signal having a highest received signal strength and signals having a received signal strength above a specified level relative to the highest received signal strength, provides second channel information for second signals including signals having a received signal strength below the specified level, and receives an allocation of one or more resource blocks from assigned transmission sectors based on a ranking of the first channel information, whereby the one or more resource blocks are reallocated to another wireless communication device, from another transmission sector, based on the second channel information. Featured is an apparatus an apparatus including a monitoring and sensing means, an electrode patch and a control device operably coupled to each of the sensing means and the electrodes and outputs signals to the electrodes for purposes of stimulating the phrenic nerve to thereby cause breathing by natural contraction of the diaphragm. The control device is configured and arranged to initially localize the phrenic nerve with respect to a given set of electrodes that is effective, when appropriately energized, for stimulating the phrenic nerve to establish negative pressure induced respiration in the body, based on the output signal(s) from the monitoring and sensing means. After such initially localizing; the control device thereafter repetitively outputs stimulation signals via the given set of electrodes so as to thereby continuously stimulate negative pressure induced respiration. Abstract:
A method for forming an extension to a scripting language compiler is disclosed. A compiler of a machine receives a source code that has a new keyword to a scripting language of the compiler. An extension compiler module processes the source code to support the new keyword. The compiler and the extension compiler module generate an executable machine code based on a process of the extension compiler module and the compiler.

A method for controlling burst assembly, device, and communication equipment thereof are provided. In the present invention, an assembly time and a predetermined time threshold are compared to determine a load change in a cache queue. If the load is increased or decreased suddenly, a length threshold is directly increased or decreased. If the load is to be increased, the length threshold is randomly increased according to a certain probability. If the load is to be decreased, the length threshold is randomly decreased according to a certain probability. If the load is in a normal state, the length threshold is maintained. Therefore, the length threshold is dynamically adjusted with the load change. The method and device provided by the present invention ensure an end-to-end (E2E) delay of the services and optimize the network performance.
Abstract:
In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an optical method for determining morphological parameters and physiological properties of tissue is presented. The method includes using reflectance measurements from a tissue area for a plurality of wavelengths, using a bio-optical model, using radiative transfer modeling and using a non-linear inversion procedure. The method further includes systematically varying values of the morphological parameters and physiological properties of the tissue and simultaneously varying the inherent optical properties, which are linked to the morphological parameters and the physiological properties of the tissue, until the non-linear inversion procedure returns values for the morphological parameters and the physiological properties of the tissue such that an agreement between the reflectance measurements and reflectances computed by the radiative transfer model, based on the returned morphological parameters and the physiological properties of the tissue values and corresponding inherent optical properties values, reach a predetermined level of accuracy.
